Today I officially worked my last shift in the Emergency Department at Southmead hospital as a student nurse, Bristol's major trauma unit. 16 weeks of pure exposure and incredible opportunities, I cannot put into words what these eyes have seen. Keep an eye out as my ward will be on the BBC in 2026 📽️

A quick four weeks back to university for our final module and exam, then we are complete 🫶🏼🥹
Next stop, Basic training for the Royal Air Force ✈️

& that’s a wrap on the first term! How is it nearly Christmas already🎄? Where did the last 4 months go? I must admit, I miss this time of year in the salon, all those festive nail colours and I’m over here with my short bare nursing nails 😄.

My first placement is set for 4th Jan at southmead hospital, we are just about to submit our second essay and I must say this has to be the challenging chapter so far on this journey. Thank you for all the love, support and Christmas wishes from my clients I miss you all, I hope you are all doing well & I miss you very much.

Access course complete ✔️ Little update; we all got our grades today! Your little beauty therapist has only gone and passed her access with flying colours enough to get into university to study adult nursing 👩🏽‍⚕️ 🎓 passing with 7 distinction’s, 7 merits and 1 pass. After 9 months of pure emotional hell, we can finally say we did it, as a group, we did it.

Here’s to everyone who’s supported me from March 2020 when Covid closed the world down, to my maths gcse homework being done on nightshifts at the nightingale, to exams being held in the hub between clients, making the hard decision to close Vida - my baby- leaving you, my clients, to study on this course at Bicton… we did it, university here we come ♥️

Since closing the salon as per, I haven’t stopped. I had my second exam last week in Biochemistry (4 & half hours! 🤯)
I have submitted my first essay and in the process of finalising my second. It’s all go go, finding psychology extremely interesting! 🥰👩🏽‍⚕️🙏🏼

I am missing you all
studying and working in the hospital is lovely, but im missing my client spark, the giggles & the chit chat ♥️

With just over two weeks left of Vida Beauty things are getting very emotional 🥲
I officially have four working days left of ‘Georgia the beautician’ after Ten whole years!

Here’s a happy throw back from representing the committee ( yes ladies and gents I am a proud committee member 🙋🏽‍♀️) at the classic car show 2021 ☀️

I have worked with the chamber for two years helping as much as I can to support local businesses and raise awareness to how much our wonderful chamber does for Sidmouth town and surrounding areas.

I am proud of the things I’ve achieved with my own business .. are true pat on the back moment. When I think about it and where it all started … who knew hey? 10 years and it’s flown .. forever humble of what it’s become 🙏🏼

It is with a heavy heart and a huge thank you, that I would like to announce the closure of Vida Beauty from the end of October.

I would like to thank everyone for their support over the last three years, I have been a beautician for ten years so this decision does not come lightly as beauty is all I’ve ever known.

Vida beauty eco salon has been a passion a trade and a absolute delight with highs and covid lows. It’s time to move onto my new chapter.

The salon is basically fully booked until mid September and the feeling is magnificent. I love you all - please text and call for appointments, sometimes I get cancellations and no shows so it’s always worth a text ♥️
