🌡️ HEATWAVE BACK PAIN CHECK-IN 🌡️

Hot weather can leave muscles feeling stiff, tired, and surprisingly achy. In clinic, we've been sharing a few simple "micro-cool" habits that can make a real difference.

💙 Which one has helped YOUR back the most?

❄️ A. Cool compress behind the neck
10 minutes with a cool (not ice-cold) compress can help your body feel calmer and reduce that overheated, tense feeling.

🚶‍♀️ B. A 4-minute evening cooling walk
A short stroll once the temperature drops can ease stiffness from sitting all day and help you unwind before bed.

🦶 C. Desk fan + feet elevated
Working from home or in the office? Elevating your feet for a few minutes while using a fan can help you feel less sluggish and relieve some of that end-of-day heaviness.

👇 Vote in the comments:

C. Fan + feet up

Or share your own heatwave tip—we're always looking for new ideas from our local community of desk workers, teachers, researchers, and busy professionals.

Let's crowdsource the best ways to stay comfortable and keep our backs happy this summer! ☀️💙

Sharing this from a very real place…

I’ve got teenagers going through exams right now, and you can feel the pressure in the house.

What’s helped me most is using the NLP tools I’ve been learning - especially understanding this:

Stress is a state… and states can change.

So instead of trying to remove the stress, I’ve been focusing on simple shifts in language, focus, and state - and it’s made a big difference for all of us.

I’ve put some of the tools we’re using at home into this carousel - to help reduce overwhelm, build calm, and support that post-exam reset.

Because calm and confidence are skills… and they can be learned 🤍

Two years on from launching our Knee Clinic, we’re proud of just how much it has grown—and more importantly, how many people it has helped.

What started as a focused service has developed into a trusted pathway for patients struggling with a wide range of knee problems. Over the past two years, we’ve successfully supported individuals with conditions such as ligament injuries, meniscal tears, patellofemoral (anterior knee) pain, osteoarthritis, tendon issues, post-surgical rehabilitation, and general overuse or sports-related injuries.

Our approach has always been centred on combining thorough assessment, accurate diagnosis, hands-on treatment, and tailored exercise rehabilitation. This integrated method means we don’t just treat symptoms—we address the underlying cause and support long-term recovery.

Every patient’s journey is different, and that’s why personalised care is at the heart of what we do. Whether someone is aiming to return to sport, stay active, or simply move without pain, we’ve seen first-hand how the right combination of expertise and rehabilitation can make a real difference.

Two years in, the results speak for themselves: improved outcomes, increased confidence, and many patients getting back to doing what they love.
