What the actual heck? This is absolutely insane.
The only thing anyone should be concerned about is SPF at this age, or any age.
Minimum is 30 spf.
I’m a 50 spf fan. Makeup can give you the tan.
Makes my heart break when children are concerned about their appearance.
Let children be children.

All I have done here is change the lip liner to a rose pink. Added the same sheer pigment lip gloss as I did in the last post.
I’ve also added a smudge of cool brown eye pigment with the tip of my finger. Straight under the bottom lash line, focusing on the outer corner in, gradually fading as it approaches the cornea of the eye. Added some brown mascara on the top lashes.
It’s a very different look- but so little changes and tweaks. Just colours and placement!
Less is more. 💕💕

Love playing with colours. Playing with lip liners.
They’re my favourite product.
This is why!
Lip liners can be dramatic, they can change the lip from day to night.
How?
Line the lip- add a clear balm and create a soft lip which will last longer due to the pencils texture.
Here I’ve used a brick red/ orange liner.
I’ve coloured the whole lip with this colour and applied a gloss which has some golden/ pinkish sparkle in it, and it’s clear.
The result is I’ve made a lip gloss/ shade with depth, longevity and all it’s taken to do this- 2 products. Less is more.
Also- you can use a lip liner like a lip stain if you so wish. Just colour the lip in and use a very small amount of balm. This will keep it more stain like and less movement.
For my skin I’ve mixed up a few different bases up. One has so much coverage (too much for me)! And I’ve added a very sheer skin tint. This has given me the opportunity to make the depth/ texture and glow how I like it.
Helps brighten the darker areas and add a glow.
A bit of powder on top- spf!
Bronzer, blush.
And the brows. When I do a bold lip- I ALWAYS pair it with bold brows.
Why?
It balances out the face (bit like a cherry on the top)! For me personally something is missing if one is without the other. Makes the look work.
Happy Monday. Another Sunny day!!!

Helen Mirren inspired shoot. Beautiful model and doesn’t she look 👀 great!
I did both hair and makeup for the client. Age is nothing but a number. It’s an inside job staying young. Think young, live young and great makeup and hair also makes a difference 😉💕

I had such fun demonstrating my skills and vision with these wonderful ladies!
The Honest makeup experience is exactly that.
Each of these ladies allowed me to use their faces and explain my art as I went.
I am very much in the moment and think on my feet doing this. It takes a lot of thought and focus and knowing how to fix something very quickly (which is skills from being on set/ working to tight times, we have to be fast when we are up against it!)
All 3 were not makeup wearers and had very strong ideas.
I can’t emphasise how important skin is- the prep and the base are everything. Get that right and the rest of the magic happens.
It’s fascinating how each individual I consult with, has a unique perspective on makeup.
I always stick to the basics. Understanding what you are trying to achieve and why you’re applying a solution? As it’s fixing a problem. If it ain’t broke- don’t fix it!!!!!!
Less really is more. 🙌❤️❤️

This pretty much sums up my grave concerns on the beauty industry. And the impact it negatively feeds on fear. Which has devastating consequences.
Not something I align with. Whatsoever!

This is exactly how people end up buying cosmetics. It flabbergasts me to be honest.
So many marketing strategies prey on hang ups and insecurities.
As we head into a new year, thankful Jog- on- uary is over, I am being very cautious about what it is I stand for as a brand.
I’ve always struggled with imposter syndrome. Never feeling good enough, frustrated and conflicted when I’m not aligned with what I know in my soul/ heart, is right.
The world we live in, there’s an awful lot of darkness, but I’m seeing a lot of light also.
I personally had a very traumatic experience, in 2023, when I had to make the hardest decision I’ve ever made. My beautiful rescue horse sustained a very bad injury and after looking at every option to try help her recover- and manage her terribly painful past along side it. I decided in the end it was time for her to have her dignity intact.
Her ligament was full of contusions and she was not a field ornament horse. I did my absolute best for her- but pain free, dignity and quality of life are the 3 boxes which must be ticked, in my opinion for animals. Especially horses. They don’t choose their lives in the human world and they’re incredibly generous animals to work with us. They have no agenda- friends, freedom and forage are so important to them and the reality was- I couldn’t meet those basic needs for my beloved Surprise. We had 8 wonderful years together, she learnt to trust me, to be loved and feel safe for the only time in her life.
She left with her friends near her- horses process things very differently to us, they knew she’d passed away and they could then accept that. Not wonder where on earth their very loved companion had gone.
I on the other hand, was deeply traumatised by having to make this decision. I was also exhausted after 9 months of trying to manage the injury, and i felt like my heart had been ripped apart. It was absolutely devastating, I love her very much- and I won’t refer to her in the past tense, she is very much always with me.
About a year ago, I came across a cranial osteopath. My body felt like it was about to fall apart. I was shell shocked, and carrying so much emotional weight, I’m quite sure I had PTSD from the experience.
However, the cranial osteopath has been amazing. I can’t recommend him enough.
I’m also at an age where my body is changing a lot, and I’m just starting to feel better about myself and in my power so to speak.
Being present- aware of my thoughts and keeping my nervous system in check. I could go on and on!
For me- as a makeup artist, I really care about how much of a positive impact I can have on individuals. I’m focused on this outcome and am not trying to fit into an over crowded space, which preys on insecurity and anxiety about how we relate to our appearance.
I’m older, and I’m wiser. I know I’m not perfect- but it’s an inside job. Not an outside one.
If you can heal from the trauma and experiences which at the time are hell, that is a great way to live.
I am definitely going to be doing some lives soon- I’ve been brainstorming an awful lot about how to move forward with my business.
I know I’m talented. I know I’m creative and I know I’m able to make a positive change in my line of work.
Pinch punch first of the month. 2025, let’s do this!!! ❤️❤️❤️

Don’t forget the super Xmas market
On sat 14th December….
Don’t miss an opportunity to learn something about the art I do- makeup is my art.
I will be sharing my top tips/ skills and techniques alongside my brush range. Made by the same manufacturer as a top leading brand (just not as expensive)!
Tools are the most important part of my kit- look after the brushes- and they last for years.
This time of year we are all feeling pretty exhausted and run down, which is where my magic comes into play.
I’ve a great selection of skin and eye magic to help brighten the most fatigued of faces.
A raffle, some tiny samples to take home and play with especially for you!
Try the coffee, buy that meat and have that pamper!
