Today we speak to Roberto from Roberto's Barber in The Paisley Centre. A man who is passionate about people, barbering, and the town he serves. Roberto cannot wait to get back to doing what he does best, here's what he told us...

"The Covid-19 pandemic completely changed our lives, creating serious implications for public health and also significantly affected businesses and the economy.

"As a business owner for over 12 years in Paisley, I can admit this is the hardest year we’ve ever had. Paisley is like a home, like a big family, and we been through a very difficult time during this lockdown. We missed all our customers and it was a devastating when we heard some people we knew lost their lives.

"Government and all local community’s including NHS and Renfrewshire Council been delivering fantastic support. We are working with Renfrewshire Council and preparing our work place so that we are ready to reopen on 15th July.

"We are making sure that customers will visit a healthy environment. We are following all hygiene rules, the PPE equipment and sanitising products will be available when we open. We have decided to move to an appointments-only system to give us a plenty time to keep the shop clean. Social distancing measures will be in place.

"We completed a detailed risk assessment with our staff members to protect our customers (and us) from Covid-19.

"We will win this together! See you soon!"
