Prime Minister’s announcement this evening (22nd Feb) that all being well, the personal care sector can re-open on 12th April under Step 2 of the Government roadmap for re-opening.
Just to let you all know that I will not make any bookings yet until it is officially confirmed.
If all goes well to plan then I will start contacting you nearer the time of re-opening.
If you had an appointment during this lockdown you will be on my priority booking list and will first be contacted.

Dear valued customer

I’m delighted to be opening again from Monday 6th July. Thank you for being so patient. It’s been a long time but the wait is finally over. I’ve been making calls and arranging appointments for all those on my long waiting list.

In accordance with the government’s latest advice, I need to keep appointments as short as possible for now to reduce possible virus exposure time for everyone. To accommodate this and other essential safety measures, the following will be in place until further easing becomes sensible:

1. I will be having only one customer at a time in my studio. Small / under-age children should be accompanied by just one parent/guardian. To help this work for everyone’s safety by avoiding overlaps, please arrive for your appointment on time. I will be cleaning my studio and equipment between every client.

2. Please bring and wear your own facemark.

3. Please bring in as little personal property as possible.

4. Please wash your hands thoroughly on arrival. I also have hand sanitiser in the studio.

5. I won’t be serving refreshments. Please bring your own drinks.

6. Please bring your own reading matter if desired. No magazines will be here.

7. I will scan your forehead temperature on arrival. If you are experiencing any Covid-19 symptoms leading up to your appointment, please phone and reschedule.

8. Because of time restraints, only basic root touch-ups and cuts are allowed. Unfortunately, anything more time-consuming (such as a dramatically new look) is off the menu for now.

9. If you’re just having a cut, you can wash your hair at home before arrival should you wish.

10. Because hairdryers could increase the spread of contaminated air, I will need to limit blow drying as much as possible.

I’m now accepting contactless card payment for anyone who wishes to use this facility. Cash, cheque and bank transfer are still acceptable.

Since opening my Hampton studio in 2007 I hadn’t increased any of my prices, despite my costs rising every year. The increases I’ve just introduced are well below the inflation rate over that time.

To all my Dear customers, I’m now come to the decision for temporary closing my Hair Studio after watching the announcement by the government and advise given for keeping the safety of everyone.
