What a day! A fantastic achievement by the only all female crew taking part in the dragon boat race today! We might not have got the best time of the day but we did win race 2 and we have smashed our fundraising target for Smart Works Leeds
We couldn’t be prouder of our crew of 17 amazing women who gave it everything in the pouring down rain! ❤️

What a fab morning down on the Leeds Liverpool canal! 🚣
We had our practice session with the Yorkshire Sharks with some of the Yorkshire Beauties crew ahead of the Bradford Dragon Boat race on the 4th July!!

It was an early, rainy start but we had such a laugh and can’t wait to do it again - the competitive juices are flowing!! 😆

Despite the rain, which can be a regular feature of our summers, it’s important to remember that sun cream should still be used, even on cloudy days.

This month is Skin Cancer Awareness Month, and it’s something we feel particularly passionate about, with one of our partners having experienced melanoma and several friends and family members being affected by the disease.

Skin cancer can often be treated successfully if detected early, but it can also have fatal consequences, so prevention and awareness really do matter.

Wearing a good quality, high-factor sunscreen every day not only helps protect your skin from harmful UV rays, it can also help reduce premature ageing, sun damage and the risk of developing skin cancer. Don’t forget those easy-to-miss areas too: ears, neck, lips, hands and the tops of your feet.

Check your body regularly. If you notice any new moles or marks that look suspicious, are changing in shape, size or colour, or are not healing, please do see your doctor and get everything checked.

A few simple habits can make a big difference: wear SPF, seek shade when the sun is strongest, cover up where you can, and keep an eye on your skin. ☀️

What a fantastic day at the The Confidence Code event !
It started with a mindset reminder from before a fab styling tips session with and finished with a rallying call by our very own Dr Lubna championing women’s health 🙌

It was fabulous to see some of our fab BTYs who came along, and meet some new fabulous women too! Spending time with other amazing women really is so good for the soul!! ♥️ Plus lots of money was being raised for a brilliant cause - win win!

UTI's and being uncomfortable, in pain and feeling generally crap, aren't things we need to accept - especially when there's treatments and products out there that can really make a huge difference.
