I personally will never use commercial soaps again. There are so many cons of commercial soaps, just look at the picture below of what someone found in one of the supposed “ best brands” out there and I’m certain there are many more like this! Take a look at all the disadvantages of commercial soaps below:
They use a lot of synthetic ingredients which can cause skin irritations

A lot of mass produced soaps contain SLS (sodium Lauryl sulphate)which irritates the skin by disrupting the skins natural oils that maintain the skins integrity, this not only leads to direct damage but also reduces the skins ability to keep out allergens such as SLS itself- this can trigger reactions such as eczema

Added fragrances and oils which create the lather and leave your skin feeling soft are actually stripping your skin if it’s natural oils which can lead to skin problems, the oils and fragrance used in mass produced soaps are usually cheap and cause skin irritations

Factory produced soaps can actually speed up the aging process by stripping your skin of its natural moisturising factor which helps to restrict wrinkles

Handmade soaps are known for their glycerin content, after using these soaps you can feel your skin becoming more moisturized. As glycerin can be an expensive raw material commercial soap-making brands add chemical additives to replace glycerin.

There is actually hazardous waste products in soap factories which end up polluting our streams, rivers and oceans!

These are only some of the cons to shop bought soaps without adding the risks of foreign objects found!
