Well done Jack Hawkins 👏⚡️

🎉 We’re thrilled to share that a second JTL apprentice, Jack Hawkins has been named as a finalist for the 50th anniversary of the prestigious ECA - Excellence in Electrotechnical and Engineering Services Edmundson Electrical Apprentice of the Year Award! 🤩

Jack, who is employed by Camelot Electrical Ltd in Newport, South Wales, impressed the judging panel with his enthusiasm, dedication and resilience.

Rhys Regan, Jack’s Training Officer said:

“Jack has consistently demonstrated excellence throughout his electrical apprenticeship. From meeting every deadline to passing all assessments on the first attempt, his dedication is unmatched. Even during the challenges of Covid restrictions, Jack showed remarkable resilience and commitment to his growth, completing not only his apprenticeship but also additional professional development courses such as inspection and testing alongside it. Jack is now working towards a Fire and Security apprenticeship so that he can be an asset in all areas of Camelot’s business. A true role model for aspiring apprentices!”

Jack said :

“It’s an incredible honour to be recognised, and I want to thank my employers at Camelot Electrical for their continued support, mentorship, and always believing in me. Working with such a skilled and forward-thinking team has shaped my journey in ways I’ll always value. Also, a big thank you to my Training Officer, Rhys Regan at JTL for providing guidance and encouragement that helped me grow both technically and professionally. Grateful for the opportunity — and excited for what’s next!”

Jack will join Gary Hall, another former JTL apprentice finalist, at the awards event on Tuesday 16 September at The Royal Society in London where the Apprentice of the Year winner will be announced 🏆
