What is Breathwork ….

An empowering tool that helps us to connect with the breath to cleanse, soothe and harmonise our body and mind. 

Breathwork enables us to become consciously aware of our breath and connected with the sensations and feelings within our body. Our breathing patterns directly correlate to every emotion, thought, feeling and experience we have. 

Therefore, 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒘𝒂𝒚 𝒘𝒆 𝒃𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒊𝒔 𝒂 𝒓𝒆𝒇𝒍𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒐𝒇 𝒉𝒐𝒘 𝒘𝒆 𝒇𝒆𝒆𝒍. 

The beauty of breathwork is that we can use the breath to change the way we think and feel … 

When we 𝒊𝒏𝒉𝒂𝒍𝒆, we activate the sympathetic nervous system (the fight or flight response) - which increases our heart rate and blood pressure. This switches us on and fuels us with energy. 

The 𝒆𝒙𝒉𝒂𝒍𝒆 activates the parasympathetic nervous system (the rest and digest response) - switching us off, calming us down and relaxing the body. 

Breathwork gives us breathing techniques that helps to calm the nervous system and enables us to go into that rest and digest state. Different breathing techniques can free our mind from blocks. It allows us to care for ourselves more deeply on a physical and mental level. It can also improve sleep and support us to become more mindful in our everyday life. 

For me, Breathwork gives me pockets of time to check in with myself and create feelings of calm and relaxation. It creates a safe space for me to release and let go.
