How to analyse a lesion at home (60 seconds):

✅ ABCDE
A Asymmetry
B Border irregular / blurred
C Colour variation (brown/black/red/blue/white)
D Different (or Diameter >6mm)
E Evolving (changing, itching, bleeding, crusting)

✅ Ugly Duckling Sign: the one mole that looks different from your others

✅ New or changing after age 30 → get checked
📸 Tip: take a clear photo + add a ruler/coin for size, then re-check in 4–6 weeks (or sooner if changing).

Actinic keratosis is a common sign of long-term sun damage.
It appears as rough, scaly patches on sun-exposed areas such as the face, scalp, ears, and hands.

☀️ While often harmless, actinic keratoses are considered pre-cancerous and can progress to squamous cell carcinoma if left untreated.

☀️ Warning signs to look out for:
• Persistent rough or scaly patches
• Red, pink, or skin-coloured lesions
• Tenderness, itching, or bleeding
• Lesions that do not heal
