⛔️⚠️ TRAVEL: PLANNED ROAD CLOSURE - PRESTWICK MAIN ST - SUNDAY 27th - LIGHT SWITCH-ON ⚠️⛔️
Prestwick Main St will be closed next Sunday 27th November between 0700hrs and 2100hrs due to the Prestwick Light Switch-On, this is the first planned closure of Prestwick Main St and although it’s on a Sunday surrounding Roads are likely to be busier than usual.
Local bus services will also be subject to diversions via Bellevue Rd & Shawfarm Rd, please plan ahead.
Services 2 (302) and 6 (306) will use Bellevue Road, Adamton Road North, Shaw Road, Shawfarm Road and Monkton Road to divert between Ayr Road and Alexandra Avenue.
Services 4, 14 and 585 will use Bellevue Road, Adamton Road North, Shaw Road and Shawfarm Road to divert between Ayr Road, Prestwick and the A79 at Prestwick Airport.
Service X77 will use Heathfield Road, Hunters Avenue, Afton Avenue, Adamton Road North & South, Shaw Road and Shawfarm Road to divert between Prestwick Road, Ayr and the A79 at Prestwick Airport during the closure. Service X77 will serve the bus stops at and opposite Arnold Clark in place of Prestwick Toll.
