Your skin may simply be responding to the heat. Skin is constantly responding to its environment and summer is no exception.
Most people know SPF matters (and it absolutely does), but during a heatwave your skin is dealing with a lot more than UV rays. It’s losing moisture faster, collagen is quietly under pressure, and if you’re prone to pigmentation, heat alone can be enough to trigger it, even on a cloudy day.
The good news? A few small, informed changes can make a real difference.

Most women are investing in anti-ageing skincare… while skipping the one product that makes the biggest long-term difference. ☀️

A huge amount of visible skin ageing is accelerated by cumulative UV exposure over time.
Which is why SPF isn’t just a “holiday product.” It’s daily skin protection.
A few things most people still don’t realise:
✨ SPF in makeup is not enough on its own
✨ Most people don’t apply anywhere near the correct amount
✨ SPF gradually breaks down throughout the day with heat, sweat and light exposure
For proper protection, most skins need around 2–3 finger lengths of SPF daily across the face, neck, ears, eyelids, lips and décolleté.
And if you’re outdoors, driving or exposed to daylight for long periods, SPF should ideally be reapplied every 2 hours.
If you struggle with melasma or pigmentation, mineral SPF is often the better choice as heat and visible light can also trigger flare-ups.
SPF is one of the simplest daily habits that can completely change how skin ages over time.
