Chapter 4 🌼

April felt like the first proper spring month in the clinic 🩷
Bright colours everywhere, flower nail art every other appointment, glossy lash lifts and honestly just good vibes all round.

We celebrated one of the girls at her baby shower this month too which was very wholesome 🥹
Lots of food, laughs and rare time all together away from our work spaces.

Also! It’s officially the season of me ending up folded in half on the salon floor trying to get the perfect fresh toe pic for the content 😂📸

I’ve really loved the clinic atmosphere lately though.
It’s been one of those months where clients feel more like friends and work doesn’t feel so much like work.

Outside of work life I’ve been trying to pour a bit more back into myself too. With sound baths, gratitude, slowing down a bit and trying to plan the rest of the year without overwhelming myself… although that doesn’t always go to plan 😂

Some days I feel organised and motivated, other days I’m winging it with an iced coffee and a to-do list longer than my arm. I think that’s probably the reality of building something you care about though 🤍

Still learning. Still building. Still softening.

March came in a little softer… but still did its thing.

Fresh sets, fresh energy, and that quiet shift where everything starts to feel lighter.
Longer days, open windows, and a bit more ease all round.

In between there was; time outside, catching up with friends, being with loved ones, and my furry sidekick never far away.
A lot of coffees… and plenty of proper catch-ups in the chair.

Not everything needed to bloom at once.
Some sets bold, some barely-there. Exactly as they should be.

Not loud, just intentional.
A reset without the pressure. Growth without the rush.

Soft hands, strong story… Still evolving, still refining.

A little late posting this… but we’ll go with fashionably late.

Spring calls for fresh toes… not crusty ones ☀️

The sunshine this week has definitely got me thinking that sandal season isn’t too far away.

From stick-on nails to natural nail growth… this is appointment number 3 ☺️

When this client first came to me, growing natural nails to a desired length had always been a struggle, often resulting in relying on at-home stick-on nails instead.

Our goal together

To grow these beauties into a healthy mid-length almond shape, using builder gel for extra strength and durability while the natural nail grows underneath.

Appointments have been spaced 3–4 weeks apart to allow for growth while preventing the nails from becoming top heavy, which can lead to breakages.

We’ve only had one break, which I rebuilt using hard gel.

I’m thinking one more growth cycle and plenty of cuticle oil, we should be able to refine the final length and shape at the next appointment while keeping the natural nails and sidewalls healthy and intact.

February felt slower in the best possible way.
I’ve been using the quiet moments between clients to really focus. Practising, studying, tightening up those little details.

I love the relationship I have with my clients. The 3-4 week catch ups, the confidence boost, the “I feel like me again” moment when they leave. That what I live for.

This business is personal to me. It’s not just nails. It’s care, consistency and building something I’m proud of.
