I just wanted to post this from the nhf . Seen a few salons posting videos of children having their hair coloured in Redditch and surrounding areas this is not recommended and uninsurable so while they are happy to do it but I’m not I have done some just about to be 16 but they have been family / friends , but no and here is why ..

In the UK, it is highly advised that salons do not highlight or dye the hair of children under 16, as most professional hair dye products are labeled "not intended for use on persons under the age of 16". While some salons may offer services with parental consent, this often invalidates their insurance.
Key details regarding under-16 hair services:
Industry Standards: The National Hair & Beauty Federation (NHBF) advises against applying hair color products, including highlights (which often involve bleach or PPD), to anyone under 16.
Health Risks: Children have finer hair, more sensitive skin, and a higher risk of developing severe, potentially life-threatening allergic reactions to chemicals.
Insurance Liability: Salons using dyes on under-16s likely won't be covered by their insurance if a reaction or incident occurs.
Exceptions: Some salons may offer temporary or non-chemical options (like hair chalk or spray-on color) for younger clients, but most reputable salons will strictly adhere to the 16+ age restriction for chemical services.

We have opened a beautiful new beauty salon / training academy and we have no stairs ample free parking x I will be working from Greenlands as of 25 th of Feb.
