With only one week to go until challenge day, Hannah and Stephen headed out for one last big training hike… and where better to go than the highest peak in England Scafell Pike! 🏔️

This was Stephen’s first proper training walk 🙄and he started off trailing behind Hannah… but it didn’t take long for him to find his mountain-goat 🐐legs and push us up in an amazing 2 hours, then back down in 1.5 hours.

It might not be the longest distance, but wow 😮 it really does feel like 2 miles straight up to the sky! 😅

Now we just need to add another 9 peaks to that a week today… wish us luck! 😬

7pm – The Raby Arms, Barnard Castle, in the Restaurant upstairs.

Out again today, ticking off another big training hike 💪

This time it was Great Shunner Fell, our highest peak here in Swaledale and part of the Pennine Way route ⛰️

I walked from Hardraw to Keld (well… West Stonesdale!) covering:
✨ 12.62 miles
✨ 2,574 ft elevation
✨ 4h 13m moving time

And a pretty good day for it 🌿

Thanks to Dad for the lift back for my car, and Bex Coates I reunite a lamb with its mum at East Stonesdale tell Steven he’s welcome 😅

But this is all building towards something even bigger…
Just 3 weeks to go until the challenge, 18 miles and a lot more climbing 🥵

I’m doing this for Hair Reborn 💛

Going through chemotherapy is hard enough… but losing your hair at the same time can be incredibly traumatic for so many. If I can help ease even a little of that stress by supporting this amazing cause, every step, every hill, every ache will be completely worth it.
