Happy Tropic Ambassador Birthday to me!
I’ll let you into a secret.

I remember at my training learning that for £2000 of orders in my first 3 months I’d get a bonus of £280 on top of my regular commission. I laughed to myself, I don’t think I’ll do that in 3 years let alone 3 months 🤣

What I hadn’t realised is the power of these products. They literally sold themselves. I was just there to give people opportunity to try them. I wasn’t doing anything particularly special 🙃 Within a few weeks I’d got those £2000 of orders.

Wowzers I now had £560 commission and £280 bonus in my pocket, it little over my first month. Much needed income as I’d recently gone self employed as a beauty therapist and my diary was no where near full.

I was so blown away by the opportunity I quickly started to encourage other people I knew to give being an ambassador a go too. Fellow therapists, customers, friends and hosts and past colleagues from my past life working at Coventry Building Society.

3 months into my first year at Tropic an incentive trip was announced to Vietnam and Cambodia. My heart sank, it looks so amazing, but I can’t do that was my first thought. You know that feeling when something amazing is offered to you and seeds of doubt in yourself immediately set in. Well you can if you set your mind to it was the voice of these around me. People like you don’t do things like this I thought. Well yes they flipping do because 9 months later I was boarding that plane with another 200+ ambassadors to Vietnam.

Since then there’s been so many “gulp can I do it?”moments and so many “pinch me” moments! I’ve been to the Caribbean, Ibiza and Bali with Tropic. Every time incentives are announced my mind monkeys tell me for a brief moment, you can’t do it! But now I know if I work consistently little by little day by day I absolutely can. Plus I have a whole tribe of other ambassadors to lean on and learn from.

I never expected for Tropic to become my full time business, but within a couple of years when my income from Tropic exceeded my earnings from my beauty business. I had a choice I could make. I went for it, complete flexibility and not to be committed to regular hours and made Tropic my only job. The freedom I get from working this way is priceless to me.

Fast forward 6 years and I’m still growing personally and in my business with my lovely team the “Glow Getters”. I get to help all my team mates to dream big, believe in themselves and achieve the things they thought were impossible. Someone said to me recently that productive people are proven to be the happiest, and working on ourselves is the best investment we can ever make. Empowering others to achieve what they want is one of the best jobs in the World!
