A lot of sports clubs and academies take the role of a Sports Therapist for granted. The roles are often unpaid or underpaid.
A select few responsibilities include:
π΅ Prepare athletes through massage, joint mobilisation and taping
π΅ Clear athletes to safely participate
π΅ Pitch-side first aid
π΅ Assess, diagnose and rehabilitate injured athletes
π΅ Post-training/event recovery assistance
π΅ Prescribe nutrition advice
Without these interventions athletes canβt train, canβt compete and therefore canβt achieve individual nor team results in a results business.
However, Sports Therapists still carry out these duties due to their passion for sport and for helping others to achieve their goals.

π¨ Exercising and Fluid Replacement π¨
The sun has made an appearance or two again. Hydration MUST be at the forefront of your training regime as well as everyday life.
Good hydration helps to prevent unnecessary stress to the cardiovascular system, nausea, vomiting, headaches and sluggishness.
During exercise consume fluids at a sufficient rate to replace water lost though increased breathing and sweating.
Avoid caffeine and fizz!
