Hi everyone im so sorry it's taken so long for me to put a post up and reply to all your lovely messages.. on 9th July we had a beautiful Baby Girl, her name is Lola Jean Bird and she weighed 6.9lbs. she was so so tiny and went from tiny baby size to newborn finally at 6 weeks old 😂😂 shes a happy and gorgeous little bundle and shes becoming a little chunk now! Sam and I are so in love! It was tough for the first couple of months, I herniated a disc and was unable to walk properly, stand up or pretty much do anything for the first 8/9 weeks she was here other than breastfeed her. Shes now 13 weeks and i can stand up holding her and can walk a little bit further!! Unfortunately i wont be back doing hair for a while, i need to get my back right and im still on strong pain relief and its a slow process, and it needs to be better before i can even think of doing hair.. also id need to find a new salon 😅😂 … cant wait for when i can return to hair and hopefully see you all again ! i hope you're all well and Loves from Lola and I ❤️🫶🏼

10yrs ago I was diagnosed with Crohn’s and made redundant, I did a nail course to get a trade behind me because I couldn’t find a hair course at the time, and began working at Face. I was a new nail tech and absolutely hated it 😂😂 a client came in asking for a hair appointment and tash said ‘yeah sure gem will do it’ knowing hair was my actual skill, and I rushed home to get my one round brush and a hairdryer 😂😂 before I knew it I was building my client base. My heart is so sore that Face is closing and I’m so proud of everything you’ve achieved Tash, and us girls. From this photo, to getting myself on a hair course before covid, to now having a fab client base of girls that I absolutely love. More so I’m going to really miss my Face Fam so much, .tash and my hair sister .lucy we’ve been through so many of life’s ups and downs over the years, birthdays, Christmas’, weddings, babies!! I don’t think I’ll ever find another salon that will hold the place in my heart that Face and the girls will. Everything I’ve been through myself, especially with Crohn’s over the past 10yrs, you’ve all been there, made me feel so supported and at ease when I’ve not been well which is a luxury to have in a workplace, and we’ve supported each other no end, this is the one place that has always been my comfort, and has meant more to me personally than just a job, and after 10yrs it’s the end of an amazing time together. I love you girls and I can’t wait to see what’s in store for us all. I go on maternity leave next week, and I’m so sad that I won’t have the salon and the girls to come back to, but I’m so grateful for a whole decade of Face and what fun it’s been with amazing memories created along the way!

As one door closes another opens and I’ll be updating all my lovely clients after I’ve had the baby!
