This is an incredible milestone for our small business and one that we're immensely proud to celebrate. Since officially opening our doors in June 2025, we've worked tirelessly to create a welcoming, nurturing, and inspiring environment for every child and family who walks through our doors.

To receive recognition through these award nominations is not only a testament to how far we've come in such a short space of time, but also a reflection of the dedication, passion, professionalism, and care shown by every member of our amazing team each and every day.

Our team goes above and beyond to provide the highest quality of care and education, and these nominations recognise the commitment, hard work, and genuine love they bring to their roles. We couldn't have achieved this without their unwavering support, enthusiasm, and belief in our vision.

Our child-led approach to learning is carefully planned around the Curriculum for Excellence and Realising the Ambition, ensuring every child is supported to become confident, capable and curious learners. We believe childhood should be filled with wonder, exploration and meaningful experiences that develop independence, well-being and a lifelong love of learning.

From building and creating in our construction area, getting hands-on with messy play, relaxing and regulating emotions in our calming sensory room, curling up with a story in our cosy corner, to exploring our brand new outdoor garden and adventure spaces, there’s something to spark every child’s imagination and interests. Our outdoor area has been transformed to encourage creative play, sensory exploration and outdoor learning, with sand play, mud and digging opportunities, role play resources and exciting spaces to discover every day.

We are passionate about providing high-quality learning experiences that support children’s individual interests and developmental needs, helping them grow in confidence while having lots of fun along the way. With strong community links, beach school adventures and a real focus on well-being, independence and belonging, The Kids Village Nursery truly is a place where children can flourish.

We're so excited to be performing Drift again at Kelburn Castle and Country Centre

Join Puffin on a magical seaside adventure filled with live music, puppetry, storytelling and sensory play... and discover WHAT could be hidden inside Puffin's mysterious treasure chest...

Friday 17th, Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th.
Performances at 10.30am and 2.00pm each day

After each performance there will be drop in art sessions - stay for 5 mins or create a masterpiece! 🎨🫟🌈⭐️☀️🌳

As our nursery continues to grow and expand, we are excited to be looking for a passionate and dedicated Nursery Practitioner to join our team.

We are looking for someone who is:

* Caring, nurturing, and genuinely passionate about working with children
* Experienced in supporting children aged 2–5 years
* Flexible and reliable
* Positive, enthusiastic, and a great team player
* First Aid trained (or willing to work towards this)
* Familiar with the CFE (curriculum for excellence)
*Familiar with North Ayrshire planning or be willing to learn

The ideal candidate will be confident in creating a safe, stimulating, and engaging environment where children can thrive and reach their full potential. Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues are essential.

Yesterday, we had a lovely sunny trip to the beach with the children. They were full of excitement as they explored the environment, eagerly collecting shells and other natural treasures they discovered along the way. It was wonderful to see their curiosity and enthusiasm, with lots of conversations taking place as they shared their finds with both practitioners and their friends.

The children were actively engaged throughout, developing their understanding of the world around them while also building their physical skills as they moved across the sand.

On our way back to nursery, we had a kind and unexpected interaction with a member of a neighbouring business, who came out to give the children bubbles. This was a really special moment, bringing lots of smiles and laughter, and supporting the children’s sense of community and shared enjoyment. Thank you, Portland Funeral Directors.
