This is what's killing me at the moment. Fresha have really upped their game on getting new clients to book through their marketplace. Each new client who books this way incurs a 20% fee, as you can see it's hefty. I pay my therapists 60% of the appointment charge. So on an £80 service, £48 plus any tips goes to the therapists, £19.20 goes to Fresha for the fee plus £0.97 card fee which leaves £11.83 to pay overheads from.

My heart aches at this. It's really hard being a small business.

Voucher update:

I have made the decision for a number of reasons, to stop selling gift cards for Origin Massage. The number one reason is the changes that Fresha, the booking system we use, have done. The upshot is that more people are booking via Fresha's marketplace and for new clients this costs me 20% of the booking fee. Once I pay out 20% to Fresha, 60% to the therapist if it's not me doing the massage and pay laundry and overheads, these massages are costing me money.

It breaks my heart because I know how much people love gifting a massage, I need to take some time to work out how to solve this problem.

Please be assured that all gift cards sold up to this point will be honoured of course.
