I teach on Mondays at the kettle club, my lovely friends Kerry and Anna will be teaching Thursdays.
Through the Monday sessions we will work with the winter season, where kapha is dominant in the environment. Through movement, breath work and long holds we will embrace kaphas beneficial qualities such as gentleness, commitment, self reflection and kindness while helping to avoid kapha accumulation, which can lead to lethargy, tiredness, lack of motivation, clogged sinuses, tightness in the chest, a sluggish digestion, poor circulation and a feeling of numbness or sadness often known as SAD (seasonal affective disorder).

Happy new year 🥳 hope it’s a bit of an easier one for everyone. You can book January in person and zoom Ayurvedic yoga sessions via the link in bio. Mondays and Wednesdays from the 5th Jan….
These sessions will be Ayurveda inspired hatha/vinyasa flow, suitable for all levels and pregnancy. In Ayurveda we look at the dominating elements in each season and use yoga among other things to help release any excess accumulation.
During winter time we use the elements of water and earth to settle, ground, build, repair and relax. When we have excess of these elements it can accumulate in the chest area, the fat tissue and the muscle tissue causing blockage, poor circulation and water retention.
The Kapha dosha has the qualities of cold, wet, slow, sticky and soft. Excess can lead to stagnation of the digestive system, blocked sinuses, low mood and lethargy so the yoga sessions in January will focus on opening and releasing in these areas and bringing some gentle warmth and energy to the body.
- Mondays 6-7pm kettle Club near Bramell Lane (there will also be yoga sessions on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at the same venue run by the lovely .yoga and )
- Wednesdays 6:30-7:30pm Zoom
The Wednesday sessions will be a repeat of the Monday session and will be pay as you feel.
