🌙 🧠 LATE NIGHT THOUGHTS 🧠🌙

So I still receive messages all the time from some of you lovely lot (you know who you are) asking me when I’m coming back.

The truth is I’m not sure if my health is ever going to let me be the creative I once was. But… I have been thinking…

I know a lot of people struggle every day with various issues, wether it be health, our minds etc and it occurred to me that I could start a page and take you on the painful, stressful and sometimes depressing ride that I live daily. This would mainly consist of living with a disability that your mind won’t accept, trying to force myself to be normal and even what it’s like to have to stay in bed when I don’t want too. The random highs and the downright lows, maybe even some of the real ugly.

Would anyone be interested in the life of a random, chubby, pink haired spoonie been shared? If so let me know! I won’t be offended if you don’t. I also know that this page’s reach is really low thanks to me being unable to be active and the ridiculous Facebook algorithms! So who knows if anyone will even see this!!

It’s been a while since I posted and I thought it was time for an update. As most of you are already aware, I have had the worst time with my health over the last few years.

I am currently waiting on seeing a spinal specialist but could be waiting anything upto 6 months so hopefully sooner rather than later!

In the mean time I’m just trying to rest, not over do it with my back and spend time with my loved ones.

How are you all doing? Would be nice for me to have updates from you peeps too! So let me know how you are getting on! Show me things that are making you happy in life, nothing is too small!

Hey beauts! Update for anyone interested! I’ve just been to the Endocrine appointment at the hospital and we finally have answers.

My thyroid has stopped working. I kinda knew this myself but still a shock to hear it from a specialist.

I also know my full blood results now.

TSH should be 05 - 4 and above indicates not working. Mine was 34!

T3 should be 80 - 200 and below indicates not working. Mine was 12!

On my level of medication it’s awful that it’s this bad. I’ve now been increased to 250mcg a day and bloods ordered for 4 weeks time.

This explains so much. They’ve said its pointless taking it out as it’s surgery for nothing as we know it’s not working and that won’t change.

I feel validated that I knew I was ill but obviously kinda shocked it’s completely stopped working and nothing will make it work again. It’s a strange feeling xx

Hi guys, I have a MASSIVE favour to ask. Could everyone please sign this petition and share it. It’s a very very important cause to me as someone who has a thyroid disease that’s literally ruining my life.

Yesterday I spoke to a doctor who has finally acknowledged just how bad things have got with my thyroid disease. To give you some information, a normal persons TSH levels should be between 0.5 and 4. My recent blood results show mine at 34 even though I’m on 200mcg of levothyroxine a day. The doctor so so horrified they’ve put an emergency referral through to the Endocrine Specialist and have had to up my medication again to 225mcg of Levothyroxine a day.

I’m exhausted, drained, depressed, I barely eat, I have trouble sleeping, I have a fertility issue because of this, I can’t regulate my temperature, my moods are all over the place, I feel like I’m fighting a battle that no one is taking seriously.

7 years and 5 months since my diagnosis and here I am, still having my years wasted because of the lack of information, support and care given to people with thyroid diseases. Why has it taken this long for someone to realise how serious this is? How many people are still waiting for one person in the NHS to take notice?

Did you know that having a thyroid disease is one of only a handful of illnesses that makes you MEDICALLY EXEMPT FOR LIFE? Yet the information we are given by our GP’s is minimal at best. I’ve never been handed a leaflet, offered support, told how to manage it. Everything I know 7 years in is what I have learned from the research I have done. How is that good enough? Being thrown on medication with zero information of what the numbers mean in your blood results, how it will effect you or even how to do things that will help. That’s horrific. Not to mention that having a thyroid disease is LIFELONG. It doesn’t go away. So we are committed to a life of feeling like this without being told why or given much help on making us feel like we can live like normal people. It’s HORRIBLE and I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy.
