Making little Beth proud 💗
I 𝗸𝗻𝗲𝘄 deep down that I had made this drawing when I was in primary school, but when I began studying holistic massage, I started to question whether I had just imagined it...
Was I 𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙪𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙮 walking the path that 8 year old Beth had dreamed of?
How did I even know what a masseuse was when I was that young?* (𝘢𝘭𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩 𝘐 𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘧𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘮 𝘔𝘢𝘴𝘴𝘢𝘨𝘦 𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘱𝘪𝘴𝘵 𝘯𝘰𝘸, 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘐'𝘭𝘭 𝘭𝘦𝘵 𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘰𝘧𝘧)
𝗜'𝘃𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗼𝗻 𝗮 𝗯𝗶𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗮 𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗷𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲:
Working in a hair salon from the day after my last GCSE exam (I had been desperate to get a job since I was 14 for some reason LOL) 💇♀️
Qualifying as a hairdresser, and then deciding to go back to college as a pathway to go to university
Studying Business Studies at the University of Sussex 🎓
It was at this point (11 years ago) that I started living a vegan lifestyle and made a commitment to myself to 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 work for companies that truly reflected my values from now on, which is when I started working part-time at
When I graduated, I started working for app, helping older adults get the help they need with everyday tasks and companionship 🫂
I then worked for , joining their mission to normalize talking about mental health in the workplace and democratize coaching
I started studying massage, moved to part-time and then eventually spread my wings and took the leap of faith into running my massage pratice full time 🪽
The way this work allows me to create beautiful spaces, build close connections with my fellow humans, help people to feel heard and seen, and support my local community brings me (and my Midheaven in Libra) more fulfillment & joy than I could have ever wished for.
Little Beth hoped that I would grow up to be:
Friendly
Patient
Understanding
Independent
Self-sufficient
Hardworking
Organized
Reliable
More energized 🤪
More charitable 🥹
And I really hope she would be proud of me 🫶
A loving nudge and reminder to go after your dreams, even if you need to take the long way around.
*Phoebe from Friends, that's how.
Tending to my needs before yours 🤍
We are all constantly changing and evolving, and finding what helps us to feel replenished and joyful is a lifelong journey 🌀
Will there be times when we need to push through and perhaps carry a heavier load?

But this simply cannot be sustained for long before the cracks start to show.
Ending the day feeling like I still have some fuel left in the tank is what I'm aiming for.
I feel this is especially important when you're a soul-led business owner, a therapist, or your work is something that you love.
But it's also important to all of the relationships in our lives! Including the one with yourself.
Resentment gets in the way of the sheer joy we can feel for these things when we have filled our own cup, or at least topped it up.
I acknowledge that I don't have children or any other dependents yet, and that we all have different loads and capacities — but this is precisely why it's so important to listen in, and find out what works for 𝘆𝗼𝘂.
𝗢𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄:
What your body is saying no to
What your body is saying YES to
What truly fills your cup
Self care doesn't need to look the same for everyone.
Over these last few weeks, my biggest and most impactful acts of self-care have been changing my working hours and removing 60-minute sessions from my offering.
And the best bit?
When you find what's truly best for you, and honour yourself, this ripples out and has an impact on those around you.
You can be more present, and you have more to give.
What's one thing you can do this week to take better care of yourself?

This post was written by me, a human! 👋
Remembering to sloooooooow down 🐌
After a beautiful Alexander Technique session with , I'm moving through my day with more intention, awareness and ease✨
Clients often reflect back to me that I'm very calm and move at a slow, considered pace, but this isn't always the case (!) if you see me at home in my own time, I can often get carried away by the current of HURRY.
Just like everyone else, I am part of this society that rewards speed, convenience and achieving outcomes, and often makes us feel like we are falling behind.
It's an act of rebellion to slow down, and I know many people feel like they can't afford that luxury.
But the beautiful gift that slowing down brings you is that it often feels like time expands, and you feel like you have more of it.
The more present we are to our embodied experience, the richer the experience becomes, and the more we can understand about what our bodies need to feel well.
And often, many of the tasks we think we 'need' to complete fall away when we take moment to think about what's truly important. Connection, joy, a feeling of safety.
Pause.
Take a deep breath.
Check how you're holding yourself in this moment, and see if you can invite just a little 🤏 more ease.
Love ya x

Important update to my offerings and approach to my work:
Taking stock of Inner Smile's blossoming over the past two years has filled me with so much gratitude & joy, and I’ve noticed that lately, something beautiful has been naturally unfolding 🌹
Over the last six months, bookings for longer sessions (2 hours+) have been steadily growing, and it's become clear that once clients experience them, there's simply no going back.
Being given the space to truly pour my heart into these longer sessions has shown me that shorter sessions just don't allow my work to unfold the way it's meant to.
So, from 20th June 2026, I'll no longer be offering 60-minute sessions, and only a small number of 75-minute slots will be available each month, so booking ahead will be essential.
My recommended and most popular treatment time remains 90 minutes, and the most accessible way to enjoy this monthly is through The Inner Smile Club membership. I'll be opening a handful of spaces soon for 90-minute membership, and you can join the waitlist via the link in my bio to be first to hear about it.
If you have an existing 60-minute gift voucher, or a package of 60-minute sessions you can get in touch directly to book (more info on my website).
Those in the Inner Smile Club with a 60 or 75-minute membership will be able to keep these for as long as they remain a member, but I will not be backfilling any of these 60 or 75 minute spots.
Thank you as always to my incredible clients for showing up for themselves, for allowing themselves to be seen and held, and for giving me the opportunity to be in service & do my soul’s work 🙏

A gift that I have brought home with me from my recent trip to Ubud in Bali is a revitalised devotion to ritual and giving thanks 🌹
Finding meaning and beauty in life's ordinary moments
Living in the spirit of gratitude
Making offerings and reminding myself that I am not separate from the beautiful intricate web of nature
Trying to live in a more reciprocal relationship with Mother Earth 🌎
I feel so incredibly lucky to have been able to go on this trip, and to be arriving home at such a beautiful time of the year, where the return of warmth and light makes things feel that little bit easier.
I hope you're all feeling supported by Spring's rising energy 🌷
Sending love to everyone 🤍

No changes here, just giving them a place in the grid.

I am also very much into skill swaps, so if you aren't managing to find a place in your budget for massage and are able to offer any of the following, get in touch:
