Reimagining Rehabilitation®: A Trademark of Quality, Innovation, and Care 08/05/2026

Reimagining Rehabilitation®: A Trademark of Quality, Innovation, and Care

We’re pleased to share that Reimagining Rehabilitation® is now a registered UK trademark of STEPS Rehabilitation, as a guarantee of origin and quality in relation to our products and services.

While this might appear to be a minor technicality around a long-standing core brand value for STEPS, registering the trademark is important. It ensures that when clients, referrers, and sector peers see “Reimagining Rehabilitation” associated with specialist therapy services, equipment, devices, and training, they can immediately recognise it as a mark of the quality and values that define STEPS.

For STEPS, Reimagining Rehabilitation captures how we think about recovery: a commitment to continually challenging and improving how rehabilitation is delivered, bringing together clinical expertise, person-centred care and innovation. There has never been a more exciting time to be involved in neurorehabilitation. The possibilities for rehabilitation are evolving rapidly, driven by advances in technology and groundbreaking research, and STEPS is committed to remaining at the forefront of these developments as seen by our growing presence at global rehabilitation conferences.

Last week, we welcomed back our former client, Bob. He visited STEPS to take part in an interview for our Alumni Newsletter and to have some photos taken around the building.

The team were thrilled to see him, and it was wonderful to catch up and hear how he’s been getting on since leaving STEPS.

It’s moments like these that remind us of the strong, lasting relationships formed between our clients and the STEPS team, and how the support offered at STEPS continues to make a difference long after our clients leave.

We’re looking forward to working with Bob on future research projects and to follow his journey.

Integrated Residential Rehabilitation and Prosthetic Provision at STEPS – Sharon’s Story

Before her accident, Sharon, 54, led an active and independent life in North Yorkshire, balancing full-time work with caring responsibilities and hiking.

In April 2024, a road traffic collision left Sharon with life-threatening injuries and an above-knee amputation. After months in acute care and early rehabilitation, she began her journey with STEPS.

Through STEPS Rehabilitation’s integrated residential model, combining expert therapy, medical care, psychology, hydrotherapy and on-site prosthetic provision in partnership with STEPS Prosthetics, Sharon has made remarkable progress.

This case highlights not only the importance of a joined-up rehabilitation approach, but also the powerful role of peer support in rebuilding confidence, independence and quality of life after catastrophic injury.
