Fresh From the Salon

So at the beginning of the month I finally stepped out of my comfort zone and signed up for my first bit of education in years!! I chose a bouncy blowdry course as when I have had ago before I really enjoyed it and found it soooo satisfying but also I knew you guys would be well up it!
The course was with and was amazing! I travelled two hours to her (because I love her work on the gram 🫶🏻), it was one to one which meant it was all about my learning and I would recommend it to anyone and everyone.
I have my first real live model in tomorrow so I’d thought I’d get good old Sally out just to get some practise in before. I’m so excited 🙌🏻

🍯Welcoming the Warmth🍯

Warm tones in blonde are no longer frowned upon 🙌🏻 and I was all up for this change, moving from icy tones to introducing copper into the mix.
There were so many different routes that we considered. Something with a hint of pink/ peach or a copper/ gold combo. All kind of hitting a strawberry blonde kind of vibe.
For our first trail we went copper/ gold which felt enough of a change….. for now 😉

I constantly forget to take before pictures 😱 but I’m so glad I didn’t forget today! We would have missed out on seeing what a good refresh appointment can do. All this transformation needed was
A root touch up ☑️
Heavy lowlights throughout ☑️
All over gloss ☑️
And a decent trim ☑️

Also feeling very lucky to have such lovely ladies who let me ‘do what I want’ when it comes to their hair and then just end up having the best time while we’re at it 😇

🌘🌗 Dimensional Blonde 🌓🌒

This is perfect if you want blonde but don’t want to be too blonde. It’s a mixture of chunky highlights with either lowlights added or by keeping the natural hair colour showing.

I was super lucky here and was working with virgin hair 🙌🏻 which meant I only needed to had the lightness to create the contrast. Her hair lifted beautifully and I think her natural colour has the perfect depth to really make her blonde pop 🤩

🍮Butterscotch Blonde🍮

Second time of colouring this beauty. And I have to say I’m always a little bit more at ease and a little more confident second time round.
So when the mission this time was more blonde I was more than ready for it.
We did a mix of fine babylights all around the high line for an easy grow out and thicker weaved highlights through the rest with tip outs for that extra punch of colour.
It turned out so beautiful and is most definitely one of my favourite before and afters of this year 😍

Also, I’m loving naming these scrummy blondes lol!

❣️Vivid Red❣️

Goldwell seriously delivering with their gorgeous reds! Yes I always make the most mess when I do reds (course I do 🤦🏼‍♀️) but it’s so worth it when the hair colour is so intense, so shiny and still super healthy!!

Looking back on these I have to keep telling myself I do not need to go back red 🫣

⏳Sandy Highlights⏳

A gorgeous mix of dimension, warmth and pops of colour. These tones are perfect for my sister, as our hair has a lot of natural gold in it and no matter what it will always return. So rather than fight with the gold, we work with it to create a long lasting colour 🤩 Cheryl Anne

☕️Espresso Brunette☕️

Summer finally made an appearance recently and I’m finding it’s the brunettes that are suffering. Often the sun bleaches their colour up meaning you are left with ALOT of warmth. I very rarely want to get rid of it completely as warmth equals brightness. So here we combined mainly cool tones to neutralise the brass but kept some warmth to prevent it from looking dull.
I think the end result we achieved a nice balanced, healthy looking and shiny espresso brunette 👌🏻

🧋Mocha Highlights🧋

My beautiful friend got married!!! And this was our last colour session before her big day and I was feeling it 😬

Our target was dimensional highlights that pop but still soft enough that it’s natural looking. It was all about the placement!
I did zig-zag parting and feathering towards the roots to get the best blend I could. Best bit of all, I didn’t even have to use any bleach to achieve this colour.

I loved the end result but nothing beat seeing the pops of colour while she was walking down the aisle looking all gorgeous and glowing 🥰

🤍🖤My Mum’s Hair🖤🤍

And I think it’s my favourite so far 🥰 We’ve recently been playing around with a few different ideas what to do with my Mum’s hair. Going from very short, to very long and then somewhere in between embracing the curls. The curls were really fun but actually a lot of work so we decided going shorter was the best choice as it behaved well before.
We didn’t go crazy 🤪. We still wanted hair to play with but easy to do and I think this is the one!! I love the volume and the texture we were able to create with minimal effort 👌🏻

🍦Creamy Vanilla🍦

The perfect blend of ashy tones with a tad of natural warmth 🤤 The mix of the two means it’s enough to soften the raw lift from bleach but still keeping things low maintenance as we’re not trying to get rid of 100% of the warmth.

I think this will be a spring firm favourite 👌🏻
