In this stretch, I'm focusing on opening up the glutes, piriformis and outer hip muscles. ๐Ÿง˜โ€โ™‚๏ธโœจ

The position can also create a gentle stretch through the TFL and upper IT band region, areas that often become tight from prolonged sitting, exercise or day-to-day activities.

I like to use this stretch to help maintain hip mobility and ease feelings of stiffness after a busy day. ๐ŸŒฟ

Stretching doesn't have to be complicated. A few minutes of mindful movement can go a long way towards helping your body feel more comfortable and mobile. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’š

Here's one of the stretches I regularly use myself. ๐Ÿ™‹โ€โ™‚๏ธ As a massage therapist, looking after my own body is just as important as looking after my clients. ๐Ÿ’†โ€โ™‚๏ธ

This pose helps stretch through the side body, including the lats, obliques, ribs and lower back, while the folded leg position can also gently open the outer hip, glutes, TFL and upper IT band area. ๐Ÿง˜โ€โ™‚๏ธโœจ

I find it helpful for easing stiffness after working, sitting for long periods, or simply after a busy day. ๐ŸŒฟ
