‘Finish your course, get your qualification and if you choose never to do beauty again then that is fine’.

My Mom said this to me when I was struggling with my level 3 at college and ready to jack it all in.

I will be forever grateful to her for that final push.

Wise and calm words from someone that believed in me and had faith in my ability.

Without that I wouldn’t be celebrating 25 years since I gained my NVQ level 3 in Beauty therapy. 🥳

Where would my story have taken me without that nudge, without the confidence that my mom had in me?

There will be times throughout your life, your career, your business where you don’t feel good enough.

Those are the times that we will need a little reminder of our progress or a nudge in the right direction.

Sometimes we just need someone to tell us to push forward!!

Sometimes we just need a hug and a chat!

I have so many moments in my career where I have struggled, this is just one!!

So today I want to leave you with a version of my mom’s wise words to me.

Often we allow our fears to dictate who we are and what we can achieve. Fears and limiting beliefs can really hold us back and prevent us from reaching our true potential.

We need to challenge our self Limiting beliefs and see how powerful we truly are.

Challenge your fears, step out of your comfort zone and see how you grow in strength, confidence and gain the power to take control of your destiny.
