It’s Sun Awareness week, and I wanted to highlight the common misconceptions of Sun protection in darker skin tones! We are blessed with more melanin - but it doesn’t mean that sun protection isn’t needed.

As a beauty educator, I talk often to the training therapists about having these conversations and also what to look out for - as it is often Beauty therapists that identify changes in skin and suspicious looking moles.
When Tropic partnered with Skcin, to offer us the opportunity of MASCED - Melanoma and Skin Cancer Early Detection training - I jumped at the opportunity! If we know what to look out for, we can try and prevent it, and that’s what I hope to pass on to you!
