Every stage of the fertility process can be hard, from the 2 week waits through to the ivf process.
In that time you need to carry on āas normalā and life can get very overwhelming at times.

Fasting has a number of benefits to gut health but when I am working with my fertility clients I donāt recommend it.
The reason is because we are aiming to stabilise the hormones and this includes the blood sugar levels, this is especially true when we work with conditions such as polycystic ovaries.
Instead I recommend eating something protein based to start and prevent the blood sugars spiking

Itās all about the little wins to make everything that little bit more optimised to help the body and mind prepare for the journey ahead.
For me itās always been about supporting the body but also the mind and the individual themselves
Itās part of human nature to want to help someone, especially as women, but sometimes itās not possible and what someone needs
Often there is no real advice to give (especially if itās along the lines of relax) but friends just want you to listen while they tell you their frustration.

Now I donāt usually like to get political but recently a political figure has said that IVF is a lifestyle choice-which has stepped into my world and so hereās my response.
Itās not a lifestyle choice. Itās medical. Performed by drs and in hospitals. Itās mostly a response to medical conditions and can really affect individuals mental wellbeing.
This has been said to get attention-and itās worked. But I do need people to see that this politician is showing her thoughts and feelings towards womenās, lgbt and family rights.

How I train someone who is trying to lose weight or optimise their body for pregnancy compared to regular personal training is very different.
Firstly, whilst you may be desperate to lose the weight to tick the boxes and qualify for fertility treatment, drastic measures can disrupt the hormones more than necessary and cause extra stress.
I work with you to train in a way that makes your body strong as well as getting you the results.
Your body still needs rest and still needs recovery. It also needs proper nourishment so no cutting food groups or way under eating calories.
