Bye Acrylics.. Hi Natural 🤍

has been back and forth with acrylics but has decided enough is enough and wanted to grow her natural nails.
We were worried at what state the nail plate would be in after having acrylics for so long but after removal, we were happily surprised to see they weren’t bad at all. She has quite an oily nail plate so this has most likely helped.

Charl wants to have her naturals nails “tapping on her phone”, so this is the start of her journey. Plenty of love and attention but we are heading in the right direction.

We have tidied up her skin and nails and have applied Contour (builder) to create strength and a natural apex to the nail. This gives us where that beautiful shape comes from.
Followed by a natural pinky base and some line details.

The process of an abstract design is always scary!
This client nearly always comes to her appointment with photo inspo or at least an idea of what she wants but this time she didn’t know.
I said we can go abstract and just make it up and see how it goes.
It started off with blue “splodges” on the nail and I could sense the worry 🤣
In all honesty, I felt the same. It’s always worrying when you don’t know where it’s going and you just go with the flow and hope for the best. I told this lady to
“Trust the process”.

After some foil detail and little white additions to the design it all came together.
She smiled and said, “Thank god I can trust you” 🤣

A sigh of relief indeed.

It’s so good to be back doing what I love.

This client usually has a more oval nail shape but we decided to change it up and go square.
She also had one nail that snapped really short, instead of having to take the others short too, we built up one of her nails with Contour Base & Build.. this has created length and strength as her natural nail regrows.

I currently work a Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday and a Friday is our family day..

The news you have all been waiting for…

After having the most amazing maternity leave and embracing every moment with my growing boy, I am back!

Now this is a long one but please read it all so you don’t miss anything.

I’m so excited to be back to work and to see you all again. I did not expect to be off as long as I have been and I am so grateful for each and every one of you that has been so patient with me and allowed me to have this special time with Leo 🤍 Thank you!

Now coming back to work there’s going to be a few things to point out.
First of all. I am so happy to have been so busy for all these years and working every possible minute of the day to get you all in, now as much as I’m going to still work as much as possible. This isn’t as easy with a 10 month old and childcare etc and in all honesty, I do still want to have a couple of days a week to be with Leo.
So that being said. Appointments are going to be limited as I can’t just keep adding clients onto the end of the day like I used to 🙈 So please be organised and book ahead to avoid disappointment. I will be adding more days as time l goes on though.
My diary will be open to existing clients only. No new clients at this time.

At the moment , just while I figure out exactly how much I can do, my online booking system is unavailable to book appointments, if you can just contact me for now that would be super. I promise to get back to you as soon as possible. Online booking will be back up and running in due course.

I have spent endless hours over the last month working out the exact cost of each treatment so my prices are right coming back to work. My new prices are effective immediately.
These can be found on my website, booking system (when back up and running) and I will be uploading these to Facebook and Instagram.
I can also confirm prices when you book in too.
