This week has been emotional 🥹❤️

Pop the kettle on, I could be a while 😂

After being poorly for what feels like a month, thank you to everyone who’s been amazing and accommodating moving their appointments and waiting till I was better, just one of the reasons why I love each and every one of my clients ☺️

One of my mini clients passed and enormous milestone this week…..I’m gonna call him Malcom for sh*ts and giggles and his privacy 😉

Malcom is just 3, we have a love hate relationship and by that I mean, I love him and he hates me when I get the clippers out!! We have been attempting a happy haircut for approx 18 months+😆

He is the the absolute cutest but gets so distressed when I cut his hair, myself and mum have tried what felt like everything to help calm him during what felt like for him, the most traumatic experience so this appointment we switched it up 😬

I started Malcom’s hair first, instead of waiting for Mums foils to process, I brought my magnetic kids timer from home and let him play around with it while I we tried to encourage him positively onto mums lap…..after a few zoom ups with the clippers he wasn’t happy so we stopped and said “That’s okay we’ll do mummy’s first” so let him go about his morning with with 25% of his hair cut…..bit of a risk if he was gonna point blank refuse to let me near him again 😂

Towards the end of mums colour application he says,
“Mummy are you brave?”
“Yes I am brave babe, are you?”
“Me brave and Hannah cut my hair?” 🤗

Both of us speechless, he gets on the chair (not mums lap!!) and with the clippers we do 1, 2, 3…..he says “Stop!” and uses my brush to get the hair off his legs, “you go again?”
“Okay babe, you just tell me when to stop okay?”…..”Okay Hannah” 😳

We laughed, we encouraged and praised him for how amazing he was being! This was probably the most accurate cut he had ever had, still not perfect but we finished on a happy and positive note, with cheers, clapping and high fiving! Both Mum and I, in utter shock, with what would normally have been up to an hour of tears and fears to a happy and proud little boy, excited
For what HE had achieved ❤️

Malcom, you’re AWSOME!!

The next day I get a desperate message from a beautiful angel who had a mishap at college and somehow another student had matted her hair extensions into her hair 🥴

I had finished for the day so said for her to come straight round! She walked in, in tears and after taking off the towel that her college lecturer had sent her home in 😡🙄 I realised what I was working with!

I’m in shock but immediately try and put her mind at rest and say I will sort it the best I can with minimal damage to her natural hair 🤞🏻

3.5 hours later, the hair gods had been looking down on us and we managed to save a few extensions (lost a few too 🤦🏼‍♀️) but saved every bit of her natural hair and restored her confidence after she thought she would have to hibernate for the winter! 🤪

She left me with a big hug and million thank yous ❤️ and enough evidence to write a strongly worded email to her college lecturer to explain why this should NOT of happened under this lecturers supervision! 😳
She would still look amazing with a buzz cut, she is that stunning 😂 but she left me looking as beautiful as she always does 🥰

And lastly today……I met this lady a couple of years ago and clicked with her instantly 🥰 we chat endlessly through her appointments and I always feel a sense of a accomplishment from seeing her smile and a cuddle before I leave her ❤️

Having babies (and life ) takes its toll on our bodies, especially our hair, and we don’t talk enough about how massively important our hair is, and how it’s contributes to our every fibre of our confidence ☺️

So today, after her usual foil highlights, she took the dive into a full head of tape hair extensions, something she’d been thinking of for a while, to help thicken her natural hair and WOW! 😍

She had some happy tears and a smile she couldn’t hide, I did that!!! I made that smile today and I felt bloody emotional!!

She looked a million dollars when I left her and could see her confidence growing by the second and I pray her confidence continues to grow so she can see how beautiful she really is ❤️

The messages from her tonight has continued my smile 😊

If you’ve got to the end of this I apologise for the essay 😂 but what I’m trying to say is that I get thank you’s for how I make you feel, but I suppose what I’m trying to say is, thank you all for how you make ME feel 😚

My days can be long, my nights can be late but with the clients I have, I wouldn’t wish to be tired for anyone else other than you guys ❤️

Thank you from the bottom of my heart, for trusting me, confiding in me, and letting me part of your lives…..you are all amazing, don’t ever forget it! 😍

Here’s Ellie 💕

Ellie has been with me all week for a her work experience and I couldn’t be prouder of her! ❤️

She’s shown initiative and drive and has taken in so much this week, from foils to perms to cuts and blow drys!

If this is the path she decides to take she will excel and I would always be happy to take her under my wing 💇🏼‍♀️

Well done Ellie I can’t wait to see what the future holds for you ❤️

So I’m off on our Honeymoon tomorrow eve so any messages regarding appointments I will reply to on the 2nd May 🥰
