It feels good to be able to say this openly and out loud at last. After nearly 38 fantastic years on Town Street it is time to pass the baton and the keys of number 41 to a new owner.

Firstly, there is no reason to worry or panic about your future hair appointments. The Stylists at Sherlocks plan on continuing to cut hair for a loooooong time yet. It may be here at Sherlocks or it may be nearby in a different salon. Rest assured you will absolutely definitely know where to find all of our Stylists. Let’s face it these girls can walk into a job ANYWHERE.

Ideally we would like to sell the business and the property together. However, if a banging offer comes in for the property, we will be all ears. Number 41 Town Street is a beautiful property that has and could be used in many different ways.

As it’s January, the salon has slowed down a notch. So now is a great time to come and talk to us about any hair thoughts / problems you are having.

Come and have a coffee and a consultation with one of our Stylists ( Jane included ) there is no charge whatsoever.

Have you ever thought about hair extensions ? They don’t always have to be down to your elbows, they can just be to enhance thickness.

Did you know we have stylists that specialize in curly hair and short hair cuts too. These Stylists are becoming increasingly tricky to find, we are told.

We also permanently wave hair. Not just short, tight perms from yesteryear. Soft body waves for short and long hair too.

There is a reason our salon has been successful for 37 years. We move with the times and honestly enjoy doing that. Our Stylists are all experienced. Beth is our youngest Stylist and she has 6 years experience, so you can trust us to know what’s what.

Jane is working much less now, but as one of our curly cutting specialists you can still get a consultation or an appointment with her.

New working days for our senior Stylist Donna.

For the first time in 4 years we will be closing the salon on Monday’s.

Donna’s new working days will be Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

By closing on a Monday this allows Donna to have two days off together. Very important for everyone but especially when you are a busy and hard working as Our Dons ❤️

Donna has some availability this week mostly on Good Friday. We are closed on Easter Saturday.
