A couple of years ago I took a leap and launched Melonz’ Hair Bar focusing on quick, practical, and stylish hair that lasts for days. What started as a passion for braiding and styling has grown into something I’m so proud of 🙌🏼

And now… the next stage is coming 👀✨

I’ll soon be:

🌟 Launching a range of braiding courses, from complete beginners to advanced styles
🌟 Introducing a Dad & Daughter course (because let’s be honest… some dads need a little help with hair 😄)

My mission is still the same, making life easier with styles that are practical, long-lasting, and look amazing.

✨ Sunday School Braid Club is here! ✨

From now on, I’ll be offering Sunday morning double braid appointments to get your little ones all set for the week ahead.

I’m a little late posting this 😅 but I just wanted to say a HUGE thank you to each and every one of you who came along for braids before the Great North Run and supported my husband and me with your sponsorships.

Thanks to your generosity, we absolutely smashed our target and raised an amazing £632 for Children’s Cancer North! 💛🎉

I’m the girl who can braid your hair, bake your cake, and run a marathon… but preferably not all in the same day 🤣

💖 Hey everyone – this is me! 💖

I’m Melanie – but most people know me as Mel, Melonz, or just Mam 🤣

Here’s a little about me so we’re not strangers anymore…

✨ Hobbies I love: Braiding hair (my happy place!), crafting, netball, and making cakes (yes, I will taste-test everything).
✨ Favourite food: This changes as often as the weather – right now it’s hot curry, fajita wraps, and salmon.
✨ Proudest achievements: I’ve completed 11 marathons and one ultra marathon (I promise I’m not running all the time… these days my trainers mostly rest). But this year I’m lacing up again for the Great North Run to raise money for Children’s Cancer North 💛 I’ll pop my sponsor link in the comments if you’d like to support.
