Do you love making people feel truly special – not just pampered, but seen, listened to, and cared for? We’re looking for a Beauty Therapist to join our friendly, down-to-earth team at Sunderland Hair & Beauty Salon to cover maternity with a view to be made permanent

We’re a busy salon with a big heart – more like a family than a workplace – and we’re passionate about creating a warm, welcoming space for both our clients and our staff.

📍 Location: Sunderland
📅 Hours: Full-time/Part-time – flexible, with work–life balance in mind
📞 Start Date: ASAP

About the Role

As a Beauty Therapist here, you’ll do more than just treatments – you’ll help our clients feel relaxed, valued, and confident from the moment they walk through the door.

We have a loyal client base who love coming back to see familiar faces, and we really encourage you to build your own relationships with them. If you’re someone who remembers the little things and enjoys a good chat as much as a good treatment, you’ll fit right in.

Key Responsibilities

Perform a range of beauty treatments including facials, waxing, tinting, manicures, pedicures, and massage

Make every client feel welcomed, special, and well looked after

Offer honest, helpful aftercare and product advice

Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and professionalism

Work as part of a supportive team where we help each other out on busy days and celebrate the wins together

What We’re Looking For

NVQ Level 2 or 3 (or equivalent) in Beauty Therapy

Minimum 1 year experience (preferred, not essential – the right attitude is key)

A genuine passion for beauty and making clients feel good about themselves

Warm, friendly and approachable, with good communication skills

Reliable, professional, and able to work confidently in a busy salon environment
