From being riddled with my own acne, pcos symptoms at an all time high thinking I’d never have my own daughter. Hormones that would never balance, skin that would never clear. Juggling 3 jobs, coffee shop to coffee shop, nhs, customer service, emergency services (the list goes on🤣) 3 years pushing a career towards crime scene investigation, constantly exhausted, running on empty. Looking to clear my own skin after years of inflammation, just being told to go back on birth control by numerous drs, to ‘just eat less and move more’ to help my pcos symptoms (extremely damaging to someone who has suffered with eating disorders and still works so hard even today to pull myself out of some dark places) or wash my face 3 times a day with acids to clear my acne by a dermatologist- we took a chance. From a fold up bed in the dressing room of my first house (yes i still even worked with the wardrobes and dressing table in there HAHAH) I thank my lucky stars every single day that we did take that chance.
