POSITIVE ASPIRATION🚨🩸

What is a positive aspiration?
A positive aspiration is where a flash of blood is seen in the syringe needle hub during the aspiration process.
This indicates the needle or cannula has punctured a blood vessel or artery, if filler had been injected it could have caused a vascular occlusion which would require emergancy treatment. Aspiration is safe practise to make sure we are injecting in the right place with dermal filler.
Getting a positive reaction doesn't mean we can't continue with the treatment, we will change the needle, clear out any blood or get a new syringe make a new entry and continue with the treatment.
