This lovely lady is 5 weeks post tummy tuck and is healing beautifully. She has had 2 sessions of post surgery lymphatic drainage and her swelling is reducing as it should.

She is active and back at work and movement aids swelling reduction much better than being stationary and waiting to heal. She is following her homecare advice for optimal results 🙌

I’ve had lots of enquiries about swollen legs/ puffiness with the heat.

*drink at least 2 litres of water per day.
*stay as cool as possible
*move, keep the calf muscle pumping, even standing up and down on tiptoes will stimulate your lymphatic system.
*deep breathing, breathe in hard, hold for 5 seconds, slowly release. This allows the diaphragm to stimulate the abdominal nodes.

I’ve also been reading some good reviews about this product for the lymphatic system. Going to give it a go myself so thought it only kind to pass on the information🙌

Day after day of reading about every single mole/lesion irregularity. Up until 2am studying everything from normal healthy moles to aggressive melanomas. Always learning, always growing. The brain is a sponge and I always love to soak up as much information as possible.

I have referred numerous clients to their GP’s previously for moles or skin lesions that haven’t looked ‘quite right’. Based on this I decided to complete the advanced pro course for a deeper understanding of all things ‘moley’.

I have no current availability for pre/post surgery work at short notice. Please book your sessions at the same time you book your surgery to ensure I can accommodate you. Your recovery is very important to your healing and multiple sessions are usually needed for the first few weeks post surgery.

Session 1- for this lovely lady today after her surgery last week.

Surgery: FDL tummy tuck, breast augmentation, mons lipo.

Treatment- Post surgery Vodder MLD(manual lymphatic drainage).

Time: 60 mins

Backstory:
This lady has been coming to me for around 2 years. She is an inspiration and has lost a total of over 14 stone in weight through sheer determination and hard work, going from a size 24/26 to a size 10. She is now training to be a PT🙌 She initially had surgery to remove excess skin and has chosen to return for surgery after losing more weight and wanting a better overall result in her abdominal region.

Techniques:
Today we worked on deep breathing techniques to stimulate the abdominal nodes, I activated all her upper nodes(clavicle, chest, neck, armpits)and her groin nodes.
Using the gentlest Vodder pump and stretch techniques,the excess fluid sitting in her abdominal region drained away fabulously. This patient was feeling very swollen, ‘tight’ and uncomfortable when she arrived.
Just 60 minutes later she was far less swollen, resulting in feeling more comfortable.

Once her surgical tape is removed in a couple of weeks we will assess scar formation and plan for the next stage of MLD and scar therapy.

Drainage sessions should ideally commence as soon as possible after surgery for optimum results for healing.

Your post surgery lymphatic aftercare is extremely important and is highly recommended by most surgeons.
