The Centre Stage Makeup Studio Complete Hair and Makeup Course is perfect for you if you want to train as a Media MUA.

You'll learn the tips, tricks, and secrets of professional hair and makeup artists, gain hands-on practical experience in the studio and on work placements and gain valuable industry contacts.

An MUA career is exciting and creative. You could work on film and TV sets, video and photo shoots, fashion shows, weddings, special events, and more.

The Complete Course is based at our Studio in Uckfield, East Sussex. You'll study 3 days per week in the Studio (Tuesday to Thursday) guided by Principal Judy Neame. With over 30 years of professional experience, Judy is a patient and understanding tutor who loves sharing her knowledge, experience, and “tricks of the trade”.

You'll have plenty of opportunities to practice your art and fine-tune your skills in the Studio. The Complete Course is made up of 3 modules over 9 months.

⭐️ Module 1. Makeup making the best of the face using correction (face-graph, all vintages, and present-day, bridal, big-screen media, photographic, TV and stage)

⭐️ Module 2. Character work and special effects (progression of time, continuity, script changes and breaking down, lifecasting, prosthetics, etc)

⭐️Module 3. Further development of Modules 1 and 2. Hair creativity (modern and vintage styling, long hair up, wig blocking – cleaning & fitting, hair-cutting, and barbering, etc)

Alongside work placements and studio days, you'll gain an invaluable insight into the industry really works!
