Now the sun’s finally finished its six month game of hide and seek and we’re all basking in that blue-sky mood, it seemed like the perfect time to shine a light on some SPF myths…

☀️ The myth: You don’t need SPF indoors.
If your warm weather plan is to sit back and enjoy the early summer vibes from your living room, SPF is still a must-have. Windows block UVB rays from getting through but can’t do the same for UVA rays which are able to pe*****te deeper into skin.

☀️ The myth: SPF is only needed when it’s sunny.
Even on dreary days when the sky’s trying on new shades of grey like they’re going out of style, UV rays are able to break through cloud cover and cause sun damage. Get into the habit of applying SPF year-round as the daily final step in your skincare routine.

☀️ The myth: If you use a moisturiser with an SPF factor, you don’t need it individually.
Although it’s great to use products like moisturisers and foundations which come with inbuilt SPF protection, it’s still not their primary function.
