Diva Parties

A fun make over for children from tots up to fifteen years old.

Comprising of hair, nails and make up, to make your child look like a fairy princess.

They have chance to play with the make up and pick up makeup tips.

A maximum of sixteen children are welcome. We also carry out face painting, and have plenty of coloured gel so boys are welcome too.

Diva parties can be traditional as above or can focus on one area in more detail such as nail art and include lessons depending on your requirement.

I am a mum myself and have four nephews and a niece. I am also an army cadet instructor, so I have plenty of experience with children and have been CRB cleared.

Teenage make up parties

For older teenagers a mixture of nail, hair and makeup lessons can be incorporated into the party or a more advanced makeover with fewer guests may be preferred, this could include specialist treatments depending on the number of guests.

Ladies pamper parties

Different party options can be tailor made depending on your needs consisting of a variety of treatments or lessons and demonstrations or a mix of both. Perfect for a girls night in, a birthday treat or to kick start your hen party, making you look gorgeous for your big night on the town.

After having my son Ritchie I have just published my book about having a baby. When I was pregnant I found that there was a lot of different advice out there but I could not find a comprehensive guide that covered everything. After I had my son I found that everyone was giving conflicting advice and some of the advice I was given by the ‘health professions’ was not what worked in reality. I found it was a minefield out there with all of this conflicting information and I just wanted a guide to cover everything all in one place.
I had no previous experience of children (other than my nephews) and as a new mum I wanted to learn everything that I could.
I read over 20 books, I attended 3 antenatal classes and I undertook a 3 week paediatric first aid course and a 7 week parenting course, as well as completing the Open University Course on ‘Understanding Children’, thanks to Trudi for providing me with the material. I was lucky I met some great friends at the Hayes antenatal class and a few of my existing friends had babies around the same time. I also attended many groups at a few of the local children’s centres so I got to meet lots of other mums and some great child care professionals too, we all shared our experience and developed a deeper understanding together.
I wanted to pass on what I have learnt to other new mums (and expectant mums).
I really thought about what I had wanted to know and what would be useful for other mums and I therefore decided to consolidate everything that I had learnt, read about, been told, discussed with the health visitor and other mums into one complete guide. This book that I have written tells you everything you need to know from trying for a baby through to the upbringing of your child. It tells you what the official health care recommendations are, what works in reality and some tips to help keep you organised (and sane) with a new born.
The book is a complete guide to cover everything (from conception, to pregnancy advice, to brain training to choosing nursery’s, going back to work and beyond..). It also has sections for you to record your journey and keep as a keepsake. It also helps you organise your thoughts with sections to record names you are thinking of etc. It is therefore a lovely book to keep as a memento and look back on your pregnancy as well as a book to provide you with lots of information.
It is a great reference guide to keep long after you have had your baby as it has tips on bringing up children of all ages. I have drawn on my experience from my courses, what I have seen from friends and family and also from my own experience of over 8 years as an army cadet instructor looking after 12-18 year olds. I summarized and included all my notes from my parenting course too, so I’m sure that you will find this is really a complete guide that will last you the duration of your children’s childhood.
It is a reference book from 0-18 (although mainly focusing on the under 3s) and a pregnancy journal in one. At over 700 pages of A4 you will be sure to find everything you need. This is the only baby book that you will need.
