Think Pelvic stability as your POWERHOUSE - it’s the most important part of your body and where your strength and stability starts. Walking 🚶 sitting 🪑 standing 🧍‍♂️

Having a stable pelvis can help you be stronger when lifting weights too.

5 exercises that you should regularly for supporting better muscular health. I’m using weight to add load into the legs - but only when ready.

1) squat
2) plié or sumo squat (feet wide)
3) deadlift (hinge from hips)
4) lunge
5) single leg glute bridge (db)

Get your form right.

Stability, then strength.

There’s no point building on weak foundations so getting the basics right is vital.

Cat-cow is one of the simplest ways to reconnect with your spine, breath, and core control. We use it to help clients find better rib and pelvis awareness, which can make everything from planks to squats feel more stable. Mobility and stability go hand in hand — when you can move well, you can usually load better too. Save this for your next warm-up.

Want to try Pilates?

There are many reasons why people practice Pilates.

Pilates is low impact, gentle on the joints yet good for developing your core strength and stability. Many of the exercises are mat based (on the floor) that work your joints and muscles in a safe way.

If you suffer with lower back pain, or stiffness, Pilates helps ease muscle tension while building up strength in your core (lower back and abdominals).

Movements are controlled and developed so great if you're starting over or from new.

I have a private studio at Darrington Golf Club, WF8 3BP. All 'bodies' welcome.

Mondays and Thursdays @6:30pm
Wednesdays and Fridays @9:15am

Sessions are 60 mins, all mats and equipment provided - just bring yourself!

First time introductory 3 sessions for £29. Then monthly memberships available from less than £11 per session.
