Today wasn’t the day we’d planned.

Phillip was meant to be running the Ilkley 5K with us, but his Crohn’s flare had other plans.

It’s easy to forget that with conditions like Crohn’s, the battle isn’t just on the really bad days. It’s the constant uncertainty. Making plans but never knowing whether your body will let you keep them. Missing out on the things you genuinely want to do.

I know how much this meant to him, and I know how disappointed he is. But health has to come first, even when it’s hard to accept.

There’ll be another race, another start line and another medal.

For now, it’s about getting him well again. That’s the only finish line that matters. 💙

A lovely client who knew her hair wasn’t right, both colour and cut were problematic. It didn’t sit well and styling was a challenge.

I often see this with new clients, it’s not always clear until you’re working with the hair daily.

My approach involves blowdrying smooth first for precision. This way, I can see the natural movement, weight distribution, and what needs trimming, and it makes all the difference!

The outcome is a cleaner cut, sharper lines, and a style that lasts longer.
