I thought I’d just show you the face behind the account everyone and share a little about me! 😊

I am a business degree holder and worked in management for 4 years, but in an industry I didn’t love anymore.

So this year I chose to do the things I love and have a major interest in - one being lip blush!

Where it all started...
I had very pale, scarred and no definition to my lips at all 🙈 I mean I love lipstick but was instantly excited when I stumbled across lip blush.

I knew I had to get this procedure done - and especially the benefit of long lasting results too. I instantly fell in love when I had my first sitting and had already decided I wanted to share that feeling with others!

My client had darker lips at the edges, now we are working on lightening the lip so she is left with a neutral pink lip.

This treatment is for cool, dark lips or discoloured lips. Lip blush can commence once we have been able to correct the tone with using warm neutralising pigment colours. 

Cool tones, blues, purples.
Warm tones, oranges, reds.

Correcting dark or uneven lips is unique to every individual and their requirements. This procedure requires multiple sessions (2 -3 sessions) to get the best end result. 

In the first session a neutralising pigment is chosen to correct the cool tone in the lips; warmer pigments that are orange/red in colour.  Typically an orange base pigment to neutralise blue tones. 

Sometimes a second session of neutralising is needed to get to the correct target base. This is to lift and lighten the lip, to be able to then add a different colour pigment - if the client wishes.

My client didn’t want a harsh colour due to having a paler skin tone. Results show that she is left with a lovely natural colour she is more than happy with!

Lip blush is a semi permanent makeup procedure that works to enhance the colour of your lips. This is accomplished by depositing your chosen coloured pigment onto the area with small needles.

There are many benefits for those who decide to take the plunge. This particular cosmetic treatment uses single or blended pigments that are chosen to suit your skin tone or choose your personal favourite colour blend to enhance the shape and colour. But it doesn’t stop there, lip blush will even leave the illusion of fuller, more defined lips.

Unlike lip tattoo procedures back in the day, lip blushing is now a much more refined technique leaving you with a natural finish after healing. The finished lip results can last up to 2 years depending on your skin type which certainly helps minimise the amount of makeup product applied, fillers and time spent doing this!

What to expect from a lip blush procedure: step by step.
The whole lip blush treatment will take approximately 2-3 hours from start to finish.

Step One: Consultation.
The first stage is almost the most important part of the lip blush treatment. The best way to start your transformation is to discuss what exactly you are hoping to achieve by the end of the procedure. This consultation will allow you time to ask any questions before and allow time for me to explain the procedure in more depth so you understand the whole process.

Step Two: Pigment Mix.
Next we will create a bespoke colour mix to suit your preferences. We will have coloured pigments you can use on their own, or blend a few to make your prefect shade. Whilst the colour pigments are being prepared, a topical numbing cream will be applied to the area to reduce any pain. Once the skin is broken during treatment, we can apply more numbing cream if you desire.

Step Three: The Pre-Draw.
Once the blend is made and lips are numbed we can start the pre-draw. This is the most important stage for clients as this will be what we use to tattoo within. Firstly I outline your lips with a lip liner to establish the desired shape. Next time to shade the entire area so that you can see exactly how your lips will look post-procedure. We can follow your natural shape or slightly outside if you prefer a fuller look.

Step Four: Time to Tattoo.
When both you and your artist are happy with the pre-draw, the procedure itself can begin. Remember, immediately after the treatment, your lip colour will be at 100% saturation. However, as they heal, the colour will fade by about 30-50%.
