Builder gel is designed for fingernails, not toenails. It is generally harder and less flexible, which means it doesn’t move as naturally with the toenail and can be more prone to lifting or cracking when toes are subjected to pressure from footwear or everyday activities. This can cause the toenail to become bruised, damaged or even lift from nail bed.

Toenail reconstruction gel is specially designed for use on toenails. It is more flexible, has antifungal properties, and is formulated to move naturally with the nail, making it ideal for damaged or missing toenails. This is why I recommend reconstruction gel over builder gel for toes. I also only use it on damaged toenails not all of them.
