Some haircuts mean a little more than others ❤️

Today I had the privilege of cutting off 3 years’ worth of hair growth from Liam.

I’ve known Liam all his life, so this was a really special one for me. Now 16 years old, he made the incredible decision to donate his hair after seeing his childhood friend’s mum go through cancer treatment and lose her hair.

His hair has been such a big part of his identity for years, so this was a huge step for him, which makes his kindness and selflessness even more incredible. To see someone so young show so much compassion for others is inspiring.

Liam, I am so proud of the young man you’ve become. You’re gentle, funny, thoughtful and kind, and it’s been a privilege to watch you grow up. Thank you for trusting me to be the one to do such an important haircut. Your donation will mean so much to someone going through one of the hardest times in their life.

Can you spot it?

You wouldn’t know she’s wearing a topper and that’s exactly the point. What you can see is the quiet confidence returning, the moment she checks the mirror and feels like herself again.

I absolutely LOVE doing Lucy’s hair. She walks through the door with the same glowing smile, same happy energy and always brightens the salon up. Never any different, just unapologetically her every single time.

Today we added just 20 pre bonded extensions for a little extra thickness and oomph, subtle but enough to make a big difference to how she feels about her hair✨

But the best bit today? The video 😂
Lucy came in with an idea she’d seen online and decided we were recreating it. Two women of a certain age 👵🏻 trying to work out transitions and angles like the blind leading the blind but do you know what? We had SO much fun doing it. No filters, no taking ourselves too seriously, just us being daft, laughing way too much and having a proper girlie day.

I’m not great when it comes to content and in an industry obsessed with it, sometimes I’m just too busy actually doing hair 😅 But when my clients ask me to join in, I have a go and I genuinely loved creating this one 🧡
