To you, who slept through your alarm this morning and missed your bus and spent the entire day apologising to people for being late.

To you, who promised yourself that you'd get the kids out of the house on time this morning without anyone losing their s**t and still ended up running out of patience and shouting at them, so you felt dreadful and had a secret cry in the toilet while they took three hours to get their shoes on.

To you, who knows you should be doing more to be a decent husband/wife/partner/housemate, yet right now are too exhausted and worn down by life to be able to do anything about it.

To you, who looked at yourself in the mirror today and hated what you saw.

To you, who wonders how everyone else manages to glide through life so effortlessly, while you spend every moment of every day feeling like you're failing.

To you, who got the call from school to tell you that your child had forgotten their violin/PE kit/shoes (WTAF), and could you move heaven and earth to drop everything and bring it in.

To you, who feels perpetual guilt at letting someone down in the work/home/life balancing act.

To you, who feels like everything would be so much better, if you only had someone else to talk to about it.

To you, who wakes up at 3am, your heart hammering, as you panic about how you are going to pay the bills this month and put food on the table.

To you, who cannot wait to get your children into bed so you can just get five minutes to yourself without anyone shrieking "MUMMYMUMMYMUMMY" at you and drink a glass of wine... and is absolutely certain that you are a Terrible Person for feeling like this.

To you, who will not be accountable for your actions if another person asks you why you don't have children/why you stopped at just the one/whether you think you might be starting a family soon/any other question which is NONE OF THEIR BUSINESS, and, also, procreation and having a great, satisfying and successful life are not mutually exclusive, thanks very much.

To you, whose house looks like a s**t tip, and who can't even begin to get on top of the chaos.

To you, who really doesn't like yourself very much like now.

To you, who's just had a baby and wonders what you've done, and if your life will ever be the same again.

To you, who knows that the number on the scales will define your day.

To you, who's in a relationship which is systematically destroying everything that you are, and yet feel completely powerless to leave.

To you, who completely forgot the dinner was in the oven and is even as we speak running around the house wafting tea towels to shut the smoke alarms up.

To you, who wonders how everyone else is able to get it so right, while at the same time you seem to be getting it so wrong.

To you, who feels sad; lonely; afraid; in need of a hug.

To you, who just needs someone to tell you it will all be okay.
