Today I was back in Manchester at the Wella Studios as part of the blonde expert programme. I grabbed a quick minute Knowledge nuggets with industry icons with formulas worth stealing!
One question I asked was “What’s one thing that makes your blondes look expensive?”
Jim said we need the balance of “warm and cool tones” to take our blondes to the next level. That mix offers in softness & gives that feeling luxury blonde.

This lady loves to be really blonde but was looking to to soften it. So I dropped in some lowlights for a subtle contrast and use a bit of airtouch for a bit of diffusion to remove the harsh lines as her hair grows out.

TRANSFORMATION TUESDAY
I added in blonde highlights using the airtouch foiling technique, this will soften any lines as her hair grows out.
I added in some lowlights for depth and texture. Finally I personalised her blonde hair to create a bespoke tone using Wella blondorplex.

LOVED WORKING ON THIS STUNNING HEAD OF HAIR.
We kept some dimension in her hair and added in a lovely moneypiece around her hairline. I customised the blonde hair with a beautiful beige blonde using Wella blondorplex.
She follows my advice & looks after her hair in between her appointments, one product she swears by is Olaplex number 8 and she makes this part of her weekly haircare routine. Her hair feels amazing!

EXPRESS HAIR COLOUR SERVICE
A great way to keep your hair looking great in between those big hair colour appointments.
I covered over any sparkles with a root tint and freshened up her blonde highlights with a bespoke toner. I always advise a cut and blow dry to keep on top of split ends and to keep her hair looking tidy. All done within a couple of hours.

How long will my toner last? It’s a question that I get asked all the time.
Like anything else, it depends how you look after it.
1) First off you need to be using a professional shampoo and conditioner. One of my favourites at the moment Wella Fusion shampoo and conditioner because the contain specially formulated ingriedients to proctect your hair colour and glycine which will boost hair follicle growth.
Secondly a weekly hair mask to strengthen hair and prevent breakage.
And 3rdly you can use the Wella colour fresh range, ideal for an in-between hair colouring services refresh colour and add shine.
