🎁 What a month of “Menopause” work! 🎁

Delivering sessions, co-creating, presenting, learning, listening and leading. While meeting with colleagues and advocates for women’s health! It’s been inspiring and rewarding!

One thing we all know, no one can do this alone! I am greatful to all on this journey with me, to improve women’s health!

Working with Boden on their Menopause Strategy is an honor, and thank you for the invite to meet , she truly is the definition of a women’s health advocate! To what a pleasure it was to spend the day - back to my roots, in the middle of great London health care providers and to participate in the workshop for Londons women’s health strategy, was superb. To for the wonderful conference, led by , it is always a special space of learning, knowledge, evidence based practice, but most of all, it’s a room of the most beautiful humans, all with the aim to improve women’s health. It was fantastic to meet in person, my colleagues from , where we have completed our studies - postgrad in Menopause Medicine, I loved meeting you all and showcasing together!

🟪🟣 Celebrating International Womens Day 2023 🟣🟪

I have many, many wonderful women in my life, it was an honour to asked as a guest speaker with ‘Activated Women’ for international womens day. Sharing the power of mentorship, driving change to achieve equality and embrace equity.

A truly powerful day, sharing experiences of equity, bias, stereotypes and discrimination. Collectively we celebrated and valued diversity and inclusiveness, whilst planting a seed of how together, we can forge women's equality, highlighting the need for unity and change.

📚 Mentorship 🫶

When we think about mentorship initially our thoughts go to: how we can support another person, what learnings can we impart, what guidance can we give? It’s not often we imagine the deep insights, new perspectives and knowledge we gain from our mentee in this mentoring relationship.

As a ‘Big Sister’ on the Girls Out Loud team we spent the past two days with Jane Kenyon, learning from each other, expanding our perspectives, sharing our experiences, with a focus on mental health, the impact of social media, self-worth and relationships. My ‘Little Sister’ continues to deeply inspire me, on her path of self-discovery, development and growth; she also shares clever strategies around parenting my 3 sons of a similar age to her💕.

These past 12 months, I have dedicated my life to the art of mentorship, as part of the GOL team, whilst launching . OakTree is an International Mentorship Program for Nurses and Midwives, which is growing from strength to strength. Everyday I witness it’s powerful impact; developing new relationships and strong relationships, stories of being heard, examples of how to build trust, growing connections and sharing knowledge whilst overall having that one person you can rely on. OakTree has mentors and mentees in over 55 countries around the world, an incredible group of driven, inspirational, motivated, dedicated nurses and midwives, whom we are all deeply greatful for…

Isn’t this what everyone wants? To be heard, to be seen and to be valued!
