On International Nurses Day today, we are showing appreciation for and celebrating the amazing work, compassion, and dedication of nurses throughout the world 🌎

We are incredibly proud to be part of a profession that delivers care, kindness, and support to so many patients in need 🫶

We thought today would also be the perfect opportunity to share some exciting news...

✨ Officially welcoming our newly appointed Ear Care Nurse, Stephanie Coxon ✨

From our very first encounter with Stephanie, we knew she shared our passion and enthusiasm for all things Ear Care 👂

Stephanie is committed to delivering the highest standards of holistic patient care, with a professional, friendly, and warm approach 💜

Steph has provided Ear Care within the local community for the past 12 years, working in both clinic settings and patient's own homes. We know she will be a huge asset to our nurse-led team and will help us provide additional clinic appointments and home visit availability 🏡

Rebecca is currently working closely alongside Stephanie to support a smooth transition into her role and to reassure our patients that our service will continue to remain responsive, reassuring, and adaptable to their needs 💜

As the legendary Florence Nightingale once said:

We are now very lucky to have a network of defibrillators in Whitburn & this one is even closer to our Clinic!

Remember if anyone is acutely unwell or showing signs of cardiac distress, then prompt promptly ring 999 and they will advise on the best cause of action, including the code to access a local defibrillator until an ambulance arrives 🫶🚑

Wonderful news for our community ❤️

We are delighted to announce that a life-saving defibrillator has now been installed at The Barnes Institute. This important addition will help make Whitburn Village an even safer place for everyone.

A huge heartfelt thank you to Councillor Tracey Dixon and Dr Sergio Petrucci from the Red Sky Foundation for helping to make this happen.
