Unfortunately the inevitable has happened again- the salon has had to close with immediate effect and will open as soon as restrictions are lifted.

Unfortunately hair and beauty DO fall in the non essential category and we are therefore having to close as instructed at the end of trade on Wednesday. We are trying to work extra on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday but still only have very limited appointments available. We are trying to contact as many of you as we can. Sorry if we don't get through to you all. We will see you all in December (hopefully).

We are OPEN!!

So after closing on the 22nd March and going through the mill, more than once, the time has come.

The reopening comes with many emotions excitement, apprehension and some sadness.

The salon welcomes Steph back to work. It feels like she never left; she's part of the family!

We would like to thank all our loyal customers for their patience and understanding. Your love and support has really helped. It has made us all appreciate what we do and why.

Thank you again. We look forward to welcoming you all back albeit in the era of the 'new normal' and respecting rules on safe practices.

After recent events, Joanne losing her father to COVID, her husband suffering from a stroke in the last 3 weeks as well as ongoing issues further afield, it is with some regret to inform you that we will not be opening on the 4th of July.
I know this will be a disappointment for all of our clients however we are sure you will understand.
Our intention is to open in September this will hopefully allow situations including those surrounding childcare and schooling to normalise.
Remedial work/improvements are being carried out at the salon at present.

The shop phoneline is diverted so that there is always a personal point of contact if you wish to discuss any matters surrounding your hair.

As the staff remain furloughed we would like to make it clear that they will not be offering mobile services. Please respect this and not put any member of staff in the difficult position of having to refuse such a request.

We will begin taking appointments in August for when we reopen.

If there are any changes in the meantime we will keep you informed.

Please take a note of this. We appreciate how desperate some of you may be to see us, to work our magic on your locks; but we will continue to be professional and SAFE.
It is a worrying thought that there are such irresponsible people out there. They aren't only putting you, your family, themselves and their families at risk but ALL of us. There are few jobs as intimate as ours, we are very conscious of this.

We will keep you updated once we know when we are opening RESPONSIBLY AND SAFELY.

Coronavirus: Hairdressers warned not to flout restrictions ahead of lockdown easing Some customers say they have been offered appointments for next week in the run-up to Boris Johnson's announcement on Sunday.

We have had many enquiries about when we will be opening.

Unfortunately we cannot provide a specific answer to this question. Hairdressing is obviously very intimate and would certainly not fit into the Government's current stance on social distancing.

Once we are able to open we will obviously open without delay. We will consider then a plan to get all our loyal customers in for appointments. It will be all hands to the pump (or scissors and dryers).

As we said in our original post our priority at this time has to be ALL our welfare.

The severity of the situation had been driven too close to home for us with the tragic loss of Joanne's dad yesterday to COVID-19. A great man for all that knew him, an otherwise fit and healthy 65 year old who has been so cruelly taken by this brutal illness.

Thank you all for your understanding and ongoing loyalty.

We are going nowhere.
